Bruce Kolsun, Chairman of the Tucker County Republican Executive Committee, Joe Strait and Chris Phares, Secretary/Treasurer of the committee, were in attendance for the presentation.

The Tucker County Republican Executive Committee presented The Doris Bonner Scholarship to Reid Kisamore, an outstanding student and athlete, who will be attending Glenville University to study Health Science to become a Physician’s Assistant. He will also be participating in football and running track. The scholarship is for $500. To earn this award, Reid had to write an essay on why it is important to be a patriot in America.

This quote was taken from Reid’s essay, “I believe patriotism is shown through service to others. Some of the most patriotic people are not the loudest people online or the ones looking for attention. They are the people who quietly serve their communities every day.”
