Lady Mt. Lions cruise to victory at East Hardy 74-18

BAKER – The Tucker County Girls’ traveled to East Hardy on Wednesday January 28th for a Varsity only contest and cruised to a 74-18 victory.

The Lady Mt. Lions scored the first 10 points of the game and led after the first quarter 20-3. The defense for Tucker County continued in the second quarter as the Lady Mt. Lions held East Hardy to 3 points and scored 15 points in the period to lead at the half 35-6. The Lady Mt. Lions added to the lead in the third outscoring the Lady Cougars 25-4 to put the advantage to 60-10 Tucker after three. The reserve players finished out the fourth quarter and the Lady Mt. Lions picked up the PVC conference road win by the final score of 74-18.

Aiyana Kachmarek led Tucker County with 17 points, 6 rebounds while Sydney Nestor added 15 points, 4 steals and 4 assists. Leslie Nestor had 10 points and Madison Mullenax finished with 9 points, 4 steals.

Tucker County(12-2) will travel to Pendleton County on Friday February 6th and then travel to Tygarts Valley on Saturday February 7th. The JV games will tip at 5:45pm with the Varsity games to follow. The game at Pocahontas County was rescheduled for February 18th. For more info or updated schedules go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
