The Tucker County Mt. Lions boys basketball team capped off an impressive summer campaign by capturing the Summer League Championship with a convincing 54-37 victory over Fort Hill (Md.) in the championship game at Potomac State College in Keyser, W.Va.
The Mt. Lions earned their spot in the title game with a dominant semifinal performance, defeating the Keyser Golden Tornado 63-43. Tucker County controlled the game from the opening tip.
In the championship matchup, the Mt. Lions carried that momentum into the final, once again putting together a complete team effort. Tucker County’s defense limited Fort Hill’s scoring opportunities while the offense remained efficient throughout the contest, resulting in the 54-37 championship victory.
The title serves as a fitting conclusion to a successful summer league season and reflects the team’s continued growth heading into the winter basketball season. With the confidence gained from the championship run, the Mt. Lions will look to build on their success as they prepare for the 2026-27 campaign.
