Tucker Valley volleyball took on Elkins Middle School on Tuesday. The JV squad was defeated by the Hornets in two games. In the first game, the score was 26–24, while the second game ended with a score of 25–10.
Kendyll Showalter served for 11 points for the Wildcats, including five aces.
On the other hand, the Tucker Valley varsity volleyball team emerged victorious against Elkins Middle School in two games, with scores of 25–11 and 25–15. This marked the first time Tucker Valley varsity volleyball defeated Elkins Middle School in the past five years. Maci Owens contributed five kills and served for a total of 22 points, including 13 aces.
Avery Decker played a crucial role for the Wildcats, recording seven digs and serving for 10 points, including five aces. Aleena Reed also made a significant contribution with four kills.
The Wildcats will be back in action on Monday, Sept. 14, as they travel to Terra Alta to take on East Preston at 6 p.m.
