The following criminal complaint has been filed in the Tucker County Magistrate office:
Leeza Grace Serra, of Davis, was charged with one count of Domestic Battery. According to the complaint, on Friday, Sept. 18, Cpl. B.M. Gidley, along with Deputy Sottile, received a call for service from Tucker County Communications (911) of a fight that had occurred. The caller advised that an individual from the Q & A Program had come inside the office and advised she had been beaten up.
The officers responded, arrived on scene and spoke to the victim. The statement was recorded and the victim advised that the suspect, Leeza Serra “Ash” was having a bad day and decided to come at her. She was hit and pushed to the ground where she was hit by the suspect as hard as she could. Officer Gidley asked her how many times she was hit in the head and the victim advised, “more than 30 times, fast and hard punches” and she kept trying to fight her off. He observed the victim’s injuries, which were a bump on her forehead, bloody nose and swelling around the face. The victim also advised that the suspect ripped her earring out. Gidley obtained photographs of the injuries.
Officers then went to the Q & A Building located next door. He spoke with one of the employees and she advised another employee had left with the suspect but was on the way back to the building. He spoke with a witness and recorded the statement. She advised that she and the victim were downstairs and the suspect wanted to go for a walk, the victim wanted to go along, when the suspect got angry and the victim made a comment, the suspect went for a walk, came back and went to the victim’s room and they started to make comments to each other. The victim called the suspect a brat and other names. The suspect came downstairs running and the victim started kicking at her and then all hell broke loose. After the statement, the suspect came back and Gidley read the suspect her Miranda Rights which she understood and agreed to talk to him. He recorded her and she advised, “We were about to go on a walk and the victim wanted to go, I told her I don’t want to go with you because you have been talking bad about me. I came back to the house and I heard her talking about me and we argued. I ran downstairs and said what did you say to me and she kicked me. I started punching her and she scratched me and bit me and I was fighting back. I was on top of her and I got away from her and went upstairs.”
Gidley advised her that a witness advised she had run at the victim and the reason she kicked her was to get away and she stated, “Ya”. He then placed the suspect under arrest for Domestic Battery and transported her to the West Virginia State Police Department in Parsons for processing. She was then transported to TVRJ where she was handed over to Jail Staff.
