The Tucker County Commissioners said in no such terms that they would not sign any non-disclosure agreements on the Ridgeline Project, nor have been presented with one. When pressed on the subject by Nikki Forrester of Tucker United on the subject during the Commission’s September 23 meeting, the Commission answered “No” to both questions in regard to Ridgeline.
“I was wondering if any of you have signed a non-disclosure agreement with anyone about the proposed Ridgeline facility. This includes Fundamental Data, Western Pocahontas Properties, Natural Research Partners, or any of the individuals associated,” Forrester said.
“First off, no,” Tucker County Commission President Mike Rosenau said.
When asked by Forrester if they had ever been presented with one for the project by any of the entities or individuals mentioned, Rosenau said, “No, the first time that I heard about the Ridgeline project at all, I was in a meeting and Al Tomson called me.”
Forrester also asked the Commissioners about a resolution Tucker United had presented them over the summer that opposed House Bill 2014. In her questioning, she asked if the Commissioners had reviewed and intended to sign the resolution.
Rosenau said that the Commission had reviewed the resolution. It was Commissioner Fred Davis who initially said that the Commission did not intend to sign the resolution, but declined to give the reason why. Rosenau, however elaborated on why the Commission declined signing.
“For me, House Bill 2014 at State level and that’s where it should be at,” Rosenau said. “We can all put pressure on our representatives. Signing a resolution, I just don’t want more division in our County, so we have private conversations with our State Representatives and I’m sure you all have, too.”
