On behalf of Shell Wind Energy, David Myers, the NEDPower operations manager at Mt. Storm, presents a grant of $2-thousand to Charles ‘Skip’ Landes, the Wind Energy Technology Training instructor at Eastern WV Community and Technical College. Eastern will use the funds to provide safety training for program students learning to climb wind turbines.

“This grant from a regional industry giant emphasizes their continuing confidence in the quality and effectiveness of our program,” said Ward Malcolm, Eastern’s Dean of Career, Technical and Workforce Education. The college offers the Wind Energy program at its Technology Training Center in the Grant County Industrial Park.

Shell Wind Energy co-owns NEDPower with Dominion Power.
