THOMAS, W.Va. – Cortland Acres continues to expand it retirement community options by adding two more independent living homes as part of The Pines.

Pines ExteriorPines living roomThe Pines are conveniently located on the Cortland Acres campus, which also includes apartments, a long-term care facility and medical services. The additional homes will increase the options people have for independent living that also offers a number of important services.

“We’re delighted to increase the options in our retirement community,” Administrator Beth Clevenger said. “Our current residents have been very pleased with the quality of the homes and services available through The Pines.”

Homes within The Pines include a variety of floor plans and amenities. Homes include garages, laundry facilities, appliances and central heat and air conditioning.

Professional landscaping is ready for you, but residents can add their own personal touch as well.

Additional services for the properties include interior and exterior maintenance, snow removal and lawn care, along with garbage removal. House cleaning and personal care services can be arranged through local resources.

“These homes are ideal for people who want to maintain their independence but also have access to additional services,” Clevenger said. “It really is a unique option for people in and around Tucker County.”

If you choose to be a “Snowbird,” you can leave your home in the capable hands of Cortland’s professional maintenance staff for the winter.

The financial arrangements for The Pines allow you to be an equity owner. In that arrangement you or your estate will always be entitled to a portion of the money you initially invested in a residential unit.

“People who are thinking of downsizing and reducing their living costs should definitely consider The Pines,” Clevenger said.

For an appointment to discuss and tour The Pines, call 304-476-3360 or 304-463-4181.
