Mount Liberty Fall Festival 32nd annual Mount Liberty Fall Festival will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at the Mount Liberty Community Center between Philippi and Belington.
Prayer and Healing Service
There will be a Prayer and Healing Service, held by Pastor William (Bill) Brown, at the First United Methodist Church of Parsons, on Sunday, October 18, at 7 p.m. Pastor Brown holds these special services on the third Sunday evening of each month at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
Community Theater Ensemble
Voices From The Earth’s Community Theater Ensemble in Thomas will hold auditions for an October suspense story on Wednesday, Oct. 14 and Thursday, Oct. 15 from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m., upstairs in the Thomas Education Center. This will be a radio-styled show, so scripts will be read (not memorized), and live sound effects will be used!
Drawing from the golden age of radio series, we are looking to cast “The Day The Earth Stood Still”, so we need many voices… fifteen or more! We also need a couple imaginative people with good timing and computer skills to make sound effects. Auditions will involve reading from radio scripts.
