50TH SIMMONS REUNION

The descendants of Calvin and Sarah Simmons held their 50th annual family reunion at the Flanagan Hill Community Center on July 14, 2024. Donna Eye welcomed everyone to the 50th Simmons Reunion; the first reunion was held in 1974 at Blackwater Falls State Park.  Anne Sims gave the blessing.   

Food and fellowship was shared by Jean Pennington, Autumn Love, Glenda Bright, Margaret Kaucher, Jason and Nicole Whitford from Pennsylvania.  Those attending from Virginia were Kevin, Tina, Jacob and Brenna Simmons and Kaye Bonner Mallow.  Jeff Simmons, Florida.  Attending from West Virginia were Calvin and Lynda Simmons, Anne and Randy Sims, and, Suzanne and Mark Simmons, Frank Simmons, Ron and Brenda Wolford, Jim and Shirley Wolfe, Jenna Wolfe, Michael, Elijah and Logan Wolfe, Don and Tammy Wolford, Larry and Cathy Rummel, Travis, Sarah, Olivia, Margaret and Grant Rummel, Kenneth and Mildred Martin, Leonard and Brenda Arnold, Donna Eye and Frank Eye, and Travis and Michelle Eye.   

 

The youngest attendee was Grant Rummel, age 4.  Door prizes and mementos commemorating the 50th reunion were distributed including several handmade items by Lynda Simmons.
