Benefit Dinner for Cottrill’s Opera House

 

Benefit Dinner for Cottrill’s Opera House with Opera Singing Chef Elizabeth

Saturday, July 25, 5-8 p.m.,

Mozark Mountain Farm, Route 72.

Music in the Park

 

Music in the Park free concert series continues at 6 p.m. this Friday at Mill Race Park in Parsons. This Friday’s concert is a Gospel Celebration with the Goldenaires, The Shahan Family, the First United Methodist Choir and Randy Moore and Friends. Sponsored by the City of Parsons, Parsons Parks and Recreation Commission and PRO ON TRAC.

 

Chicken BBQ

 

Chicken BBQ at 5 p.m. Friday at Mill Race Park. Meals include a half chicken, baked beans, coleslaw, hot roll and a drink for $10 per meal. The proceeds benefit the Friday Night Summer Concert Series at Mill Race Park. Advance available or get purchase that night. Sponsored by the Parsons Parks and Recreation Commission.

The Parsons Chapter No. 91, O.E.S. will have a cake walk at 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 18 on the Courthouse Square.

 

TC Association Retired School Employees Meeting

 

The Tucker County Association of Retired School Employees will be meeting on Thursday July 16 at 12:00 noon at Little Andi’s Restaurant. All retired school employees are welcome to attend.

The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Tucker County Solid Waste Authority is scheduled for Tuesday July 21 at 3 p.m. at Tucker County Solid Waste Authority Office, 284 Landfill Road, Davis.

Let’s Paint the Town on Saturday, July 18, l meet at the courthouse square at 9 a.m. and work until lunchtime.

 

St. John’s UM Church Vacation Bible School

 

Camp Kilimanjaro – St. John’s United Methodist Church invites all children preschool through 8th Grade, to set your compasses for Africa and prepare for an epic expedition through the book of Proverbs, at Camp Kilimanjaro Vacation Bible School. Monday, July 27 through Friday, July 31 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. nightly at St. John’s United Methodist Church, 107 River Street, Parsons.

VBS will close on Saturday, August t with a “Summit” Closing Program, beginning at 6 p.m., followed with our Camp Kilimanjaro Carnival. For more information call Rev. Philip Dent at 304-478-1144. Everyone is welcome.
