Tucker County Seniors attended the annual picnic at Hendricks Park on Monday, August 5, 2024. The Tucker County Veterans including Danny Barkley, Ralph Helmick, Buddy Adkins, Jimmy Waugh, and Charley Showalter provided the flag raising. Joe Osment provided wonderful entertainment by playing his fiddle, singing several songs, and taking requests from the audience.
Tim Turner, Director, welcomed everyone and encouraged folks to take advantage of senior services offered. There were 74 in attendance, and all enjoyed traditional picnic fare provided by the cooks and volunteers along with various side dishes brought by attendees.
There were enough donated door prizes that everyone won something. Door prizes were provided by the senior center, Roxanne Tuesing, and WV Aging & Disability Resource Center.
