February 2014 Outpost Tucker County Senior Center

After the weather caused the January Outpost to be cancelled, the February Outpost was held at the Parsons Senior Center on February 4, 2014.

Evelyn Moore welcomed everyone and they all gave the Lord’s Prayer, after giving the pledge of Allegiance they sang God Bless America.

Meg budding read the minutes of the December meeting and were approved.

February birthdays are Peg Filler, Jean Morrison and Adelene Snyder.

Comments were made on February holidays. Ground Hog Day starts out on the 2nd day. We also celebrate President Day honoring our past presidents.

Valentine’s Day is always special. Linda Bonner read, My Valentine Wish, Lois Miller read, “ Valentine Recipe.

Meg and Jim Buddingh were introduced and rendered several songs including “Ring of Fire, ‘ The Rose”, “Groundhog, “Sleeping at the Foot of the Bed, A Poor Man’s Rose, I’ll be there if you ever want me”, Sheltered in the Arms of God”, I Love you Because “ and “Everyone Wants to go to Heaven”.

All gave the blessing for the food before a delicious lunch.

Prizes were won by Sharon Daniels, Burl Mason and Rita Roberts.

Sam thanked everyone for coming and for helping to make a good day.
