Applications for the Low Income Energy Assistance Program also known as LIEAP will be accepted beginning Monday, Jan. 26 and ending Friday, Feb. 6. The federally funded program assists eligible state residents in paying home heating bills.
Eligibility for benefits is based on income, household size and whether or not the household is responsible for paying its heating bills.
Applications may be obtained at Senior Centers along with local DHHR offices and community action agencies. To apply, or obtain guidelines, stop by or call the senior center.
