The Tucker County Senior Citizens held their monthly outpost at the Parsons Center on December 6, 2016. Evelyn Moore welcomed everyone. Everyone recited the Lord’s Prayer, gave the Pledge of Allegiance and then sang “God Bless America.”
Linda Bonner read the minutes from the November Outpost which were approved as read.
Those having December birthdays were recognized. They were Carol Weinstein, Betty Bennett and Merry Lowe.
Arlene Ramsey then read “Christmas”, Linda Bonner read “Home for Christmas”, and Vera Lipscomb read “The Drummer Boy.”
Sam Eichelberger reminded people about the Senior Dinner at Orchard Hall on December 18, 2016 at 2 p.m.
The Sonbeams presented a great musical program including “White Christmas”, “Joy to the World”, “I’ll Be Home with Bells On”, “Light of the World”, “Christmas Carol”, “Jingle Bell Rock”, “Heaven Everywhere”, “Have a Holly Jolly Christmas”, “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”, and “Silver Bells.” The audience enjoyed the singing very much.
Door prized were won by Virginia Popio, Shirley Cassidy, Robert Gould, and Burl Mason.
A blessing on the food was given and everyone enjoyed a delicious meal.
