The final payments for the May 27 Pittsburgh Pirate Baseball Trip are now due. If you need to make special arrangements, please call Sam at the Senior Center.
The Travel Committee will be accepting payments for the September trip to New Orleans on Thursday, April 23 from 9:30 – 11 a.m. If this is not convenient for you please call Sam and other arrangements can be made.
The Travel Committee at the April meeting approved Trip Sign-up Policy that is merely a clarification of existing policy with a few minor revisions. We will be introducing some new ideas in the near future and the new revised policy will apply. Beginning April 1, we will only take one (1) bus on future trips.
As always, we will put together a list of interested people before trip plans are finalized. If enough interest is shown, and we decide to continue planning, those who have placed their names on the list will have first choice. To place your name on a list you must either call the center or stop by and personally sign the list. Do not give your name to a committee member or staff person that you may meet on the street or communicate with outside the work setting.
The tentative trip will be announced in the Parsons Advocate Senior News, The Senior Center Newsletter and the Senior News in the Elkins Inter-Mountain. Names will be taken on a first come first serve basis. At the time your name is placed on the list, you must give the names and number of people in your party. When the trip is finalized and your name comes up, you will be called to see if you are still interested in going. At this time you will be asked to pay a $25 per person non-refundable deposit. This will be subtracted from the final cost of the trip.
If there are surplus names on the list, they will be placed on the reserve list and they will have first choice in case of cancellations.
