PARSONS OUTPOST AND BREAST CANCER AWARENESS
The Parsons Outpost of the Tucker County Senior Citizens will host their October meeting and covered dish program event on Tuesday, October 4. The senior
center in conjunction with the W V U Extension Office and the Tucker County CEO S will be hosting their annual Breast Cancer Awareness Month Program.
The festivities begin at 10:30am and there will be information available as to prevention, early detection, and cure for the disease. Breast Cancer survivors will be recognized, and the annual wreath hanging will take place. Please prepare your favorite covered dish to share with your friends to make the event extra special, and plan to enjoy the good food, fellowship, and entertainment.
FLU SHOTS
The Saint George Medical Clinic will be providing flu shots at the Parsons Senior Center on Tuesday, October 4 beginning at 8:00 am. There is no charge for the vaccine, however if you have insurance you are asked to bring your information.
NOVEMBER 29 LIGONIER COUNTRY CHRISTMAS TRIP
The Travel Committee will be collecting the final balance for the November 29 Country Christmas Trip to Ligonier P A on Thursday, October 6 from 9:30 am – 11 :OOam. At this time we still have some openings for this one-day Christmas Trip. For trip information or to sign up for the event please call or stop by the senior center.
GANDY DANCER ELVIS CHRISTMAS TRIP
The Travel Committee is in the process of calling people for confirmations on the December 8 Gandy Dancer Elvis Christmas Show in Elkins. We are calling in the order that the names were placed on the list. We will be collecting for the trip on October 6 from 9:30 a.m. – 11a.m. Please make other arrangements if this is not convenient.
