MYRTLE BEACH TRIP
Sadly we had to cancel our trip to Myrtle Beach. Due to other scheduled events for this year we will not be able to go this year. We will try to schedule it again for next year. We are awaiting the refunds from the vendors which may take several weeks. As soon as we receive the refunds we will let you know. If you would like to roll over your funds to the Christmas trip which is the same cost, please call the Parsons Center at 304-478-2423.
We are continuing to take collections for the Christmas trip to Louisville, KY on November 27 – 30. We still have some spaces available for this trip. If you are interested, please call the Parsons Center at 304-478-2423. The next payment is due Thursday, October 5.

PARSONS BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
The Parsons Center will be holding their monthly birthday celebration on September 21. They will honor those celebrating a birthday in September with a song and a delicious cake from the WV Caring. Please join us as we celebrate those born in September.
PASTOR RUTH WILL ENTERTAIN
Pastor Ruth from the Lutheran Church in Davis will be at the Parsons Center on Tuesday, September 26 to entertain us with her hand bells. She will be playing at 11 a.m. so come early and fellowship with us before she starts.
ST. GEORGE OUTPOST
The monthly outpost will be held at the St. George Methodist Church on Thursday, September 21 at 6 p.m. Please bring your favorite covered dish and join us for some lively discussions and fellowship.
FLANAGAN HILL OUTPOST
The next to the last monthly outpost will be held at Flanagan Hill on Wednesday, September 27 at noon. Bring your favorite covered dish and join us for a delicious meal and lots of fellowship.
MT. TOP GAME DAY
We will have a game day at the Mt. Top Center on MONDAY, September 25 at 10:30 a.m. Please come and join us for the fun and fellowship.
SPEAKER ABOUT MEDICAID
There will be a representative from MAXIMUS at the Parsons Center at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 28 to give a brief talk on Managed Care Organizations. She will then be available to discuss your Medicaid coverage with you one-on-one if you have specific questions.
SHIP REPRESENTATIVE IN PARSONS
The SHIP representative will be at The Parsons Center on Thursday, September 28 to answer any questions you may have about your Medicare insurance and supplemental plans. Remember that the Open Enrollment is coming up soon. Please do not wait until the last minute to schedule an appointment. Please call 304-636-4747 to set up an appointment with the SHIP representative.
FLU SHOTS
The Tucker County Health Department will be holding a flu shot clinic at the First United Methodist Church in Parsons on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until noon.
They will be holding one at the Davis Fire Hall on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. You must be 18 years of age or older. If you have Medicare or insurance, please bring your card. You will not be charged any co-pay. If you don’t have insurance you can still receive a flu shot at no cost.
