PITTSBURGH PIRATES BASEBALL GAME
We have been contacted by the Pirates to see if we want an evening game or a day game next year. We would like your opinion. If we do a day game, it will be a 1 day trip and all we will do is go to the baseball game. If we do a 2 day trip we can plan something before the game on the 1st day, tour the stadium early and see batting practice, then do some touring on the 2nd day before returning home. MT TOP OUTPOST AND THANKSGIVING
The Mt. Top Center will be holding their monthly outpost and Thanksgiving celebration on Tuesday, November 21st at 10:30 a.m. Please bring your favorite covered dish and join us for some fun and fellowship. The entertainment for the day will be “Barely Able” which is a group of seniors that play dulcimers, Dobro, guitar, harmonica, and violin. They took 1st place in the 2017 Senior Olympics.
PARSONS BIRTHDAY AND THANKSGIVING CELEBRATIONS
The Parsons Center will have their monthly birthday celebration on Thursday, November 16th. Those having November birthdays will be honored with a cake provided by WV Caring. They will also have a Thanksgiving program on this day.
ST. GEORGE OUTPOST
The final St. George Outpost of the year will be held on Thursday, November 16th at 6:00 p.m. Please bring your favorite covered dish and join in the fun and fellowship.
HOLIDAY CLOSINGS
The Tucker County Senior Centers will be closed on Thursday and Friday, November 23rd and 24th for Thanksgiving. We will reopen at our regular times on Monday, November 27th. We wish you all a blessed Thanksgiving.
OPEN ENROLLMENT
Just a reminder that open enrollment for Medicare will expire on December 7th. The SHIP representative is available at the Parsons Center on Thursdays until then. Please don’t wait until the last minute to schedule your appointment. Call 304-636-4747 to arrange a time to speak to the representative.
GANDY DANCER THEATER
We will be attending the Gandy Dancer Theater for their Christmas show on Saturday, December 2nd. This is a matinee show with lunch. The price is $32 if you have your own transportation or $36 if you ride the van. We are collecting Thursday, November 2nd from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. If you have not signed up or have not made your payment yet, do so quickly. We need to have all reservations and money in to the Parsons Center by Monday, November 20th. If you want to be seated with our group, we must know.
