TRAVEL NEWS
The first payment for the Washington, DC trip is due tomorrow, Thursday, March 21st from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. If you need to mail your payment, the address is 217 Senior Lane Parsons, WV 26287.
We were notified that the bus company can only hold the bus for the Cumberland trip until next week. We MUST know by March 27th if you are interested in this trip. We currently have 13 names so if we don’t get a lot more interest by next week, we will cancel the bus and see what we can do about just taking those 13 people.
The same is true with the bus to Atlantic City on August 25th to 27th. We need to know by next week or we will have to cancel the bus for that trip also.
Many people do not understand the situations with the busses. They cannot hold busses without a deposit and the Center cannot put out money when we are not sure if we will take the trip. We have already made reservations for May 2020 for a trip to Lancaster, PA! We got the last bus available 14 months ahead of when we need it! Please, if you see a trip advertised, call the Center immediately to let us know you are interested then we know if there is enough interest to proceed with the arrangements.
You will have to wait just a little longer than expected for the cruise. We have made arrangements for a February 6th 2021 cruise to the southern Caribbean. It will be 13 days/12 nights and includes: Thomas, St. Maarten, St. Lucia, Barbados, and St. Kitts. The price will be approximately $1800 based on inside cabins with double occupancy. We need to have names of those interested immediately because the number of rooms available is limited. The cruise line is asking for these so they don’t let the give them to another group.
The sign-up sheets for these 2 trips are ready and waiting for your name. Please call 304-478-2423 if you are interested in the trip to Lancaster in 2020 or the cruise in 2021.
PNEUMONIA VACCINATION CLINIC
The Parsons Center will be having a pneumonia vaccination clinic on Thursday, March 21st beginning at 10:00 a.m. Please check with your doctor to make sure you are up to date with your shots. These vaccinations are covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and some private insurance. This is being presented by Walgreens.
