Deadline for July 27 – 29 Lancaster/Samson Trip
The final deadline to sign up for the second trip to Lancaster and the presentation of Samson scheduled for July 27 – 29 on Feb. 26. We still need several people to make the trip feasible. As previously announced, we will continue to take names until the final cutoff date of Feb. 26. If at that time we have enough participants we will collect the deposit of $50 on March 3. If we do not have enough participants we must cancel our reservations.
Medicare and Social Security Questions
If you have concerns regarding Medicare or Social Security, please call the center at 304-478-2423 and make an appointment for a consultation with Ann Filler, our SHIP coordinator. She is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Parsons Center March Outpost
The Parsons Senior Center March Outpost program and covered dish lunch is scheduled for Tuesday, March 2. We invite you to join us for the event and bring your covered dish to share with your friends and enjoy the fellowship.
Spring Will Come
Although winter has hit us with a real blast the past few weeks and we had to either postpone or cancel several of our activities etc., we can now look ahead and see that spring is on the horizon. We will keep you posted of upcoming events by means of the local newspaper articles, the monthly newsletter and our facebook page.
With the arrival of spring comes several special occasions such as St. Patrick’s Day, the Easter Season and the resuming of the Flanagan Hill Outpost monthly covered dish luncheons. Plan to join us as we welcome the new season of rebirth.
Christmas Trip Idea
We have previously mentioned that we are open to ideas for a Christmas Trip, as we must begin planning early to ensure reservations for events, lodging, motor coach etc. We have received several requests to travel to the Tennessee area.
We are looking into a possible trip to the Smokey Mountains, Pigeon Forge, Dollywood area for a possible 5-day/4-night trip that would be filled with plenty of entertainment, great food and touring of the unique area.
If you are interested in such a trip please call and let us know. If enough interest is shown we will continue planning. Once the plans are complete, those who have called will have first choice on the trip.
