PARSONS OUTPOST
Plan to be with us for the Parsons Center June Outpost program and covered dish event on Monday, June 6. Please bring your covered dish to share with your friends and enjoy the fellowship. The event begins at 10:30am.
ADDRESS UPDATES NEEDED
Please be advised that we still have numerous people whom have not given us their updated address since the 911 address updates took effect. Please, next time you are at the Senior Center stop by the office or take a minute to call us at 304-478-2423 to be sure we have your correct address. I f we do not have your correct address it is possible that your name will be taken off our Senior Newsletter mailing list.
MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS
If you have Medicaid (Medical Card issued by DHHR), you are required to• contact MTM (1-844-549-8353) to schedule your appointment. They require a five (5) day notice. We would appreciate it that after calling MTM, you contact Joyce (304-478-2423) at the Tucker County Senior Center to be sure that she gets your appointment date and time to reserve you a ride to your medical appointment.
We offer non-emergency medical transportation, we only transport for medical appointments and pharmacy. We are forbidden to take clients shopping or to eat. If you have any questions regarding transportation, please call Joyce Helmick at the center.
GOOD LUCK SENIOR OLYMPIC PARTICIPANTS
Once again Tucker County Seniors will have great representation at the annual Senior Olympics held at Keyser June 7 – 10, and sponsored by the Mineral County Aging and Family Services. We wish our team the best of luck and we want you to know that we are very proud of you. We will have the wrap up of theevent in the July newsletter and future local newspaper articles .
TRIPS TO LOCAL THEATERS
The Travel Committee is planning to take some one-day trips to local theaters later this summer, fall, and Christmas Season. We will keep you informed as the plans develop. We will plan the group events with pricing including van transportation and providing your own ride.
Please note the van transportation will be limited and senior center participants and those who do not have any other means of transportation will have first choice.
