Senior Center Annual Picnic,

Great Day

About 150 people including seniors, staff, guests and children, attended the annual Tucker County Senior Center Picnic held at Hendricks Park on Monday, Aug. 3. The weather that is beyond our control was very cooperative as the temperature, sun and breeze was just right.

The featured entertainers, Jim and Polly Whetzell from Kingwood provided a variety of music including country, gospel, oldies and patriotic. Jim and Meg Buddingh, as always, provided some special songs to add to the program. We thank the Tucker County Veterans Organization for their help, Rev. James Snyder and all the volunteers, including Ray Tuesing and his helpers, for the set up and after picnic cleanup.

The senior center staff, those who brought covered dishes and everyone who showed up, deserves special thanks for helping to make the event a great day of fun and fellowship.

Mountain Top Outpost

The Mountain Top Outpost of the Tucker County Senior Citizens will host their August program and covered dish lunch on Tuesday, Aug. 18. The program will begin at 10:30 a.m. followed by the covered dish lunch. Plan to bring your covered dish and enjoy the fun, food and fellowship.
