Repainting Quilt Crosswalks
PRO ON TRAC will be meeting Saturday April 30, weather permitting, to repaint the quilt crosswalks. Volunteers to help with the project are welcome. Questions should be directed to 304-478-6009.

Mountaineer Garden Club and the City of Parsons will celebrate National Arbor Day, with the planting of a dogwood tree, in Mill Race Park, on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 2 p.m. Everyone welcome.
PVFD Children’s Parade
The Parsons Volunteer Fire Department Children’s Parade will be Thursday May 12. Line-up at 5:45 p.m. Parade at 6:30 p.m. Cash prizes will be awarded to first, second and third place.
Thomas Downtown Clean-up and Trail Maintenance
Meet at the lower lot of City Hall at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 30. Groups will be organized to clean up trash, work on the Thomas Trails, and finish other Spring beautification activities around town. Bring gloves, water, and sunscreen. Community lunch gathering afterwards.

Happenings at Blackwater Falls State Park
Saturday, April 30, 2016 8:30 a.m. River Road Bird Walk- Meet the park naturalist at Gentle Trail parking area to walk along Gentle Trail and River Road Trail to look for birds and listen for birds. About one hour. ½ mile. Binoculars are helpful but not necessary. YPP
11:00 a.m. Scenic Overlook Nature Stroll – Meet the naturalist at Pendleton Point Overlook to enjoy this stroll around the overlook discovering the nature within walking distance. A spectacular view of Blackwater Canyon is observed during this activity. About ½ mile, 45 minutes. YPP. Pet Friendly Walk.
2:30 p.m. Spring Wildflower s – Flashback to an era of slide presentations with the park naturalist as she presents this program on spring wild flowers of West Virginia. Meet in the Harold Walters Nature Center. About 45 minutes.

Revival at Parsons Church of God with Evangelist George Moxley. Service at at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday, May 1 and May 2, 3, 4 at 7 p.m. Everyone is invited.
Student Art Show
The annual Student Art Show will from 3:30-5:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 1 in the Davis Fire Hall on William Avenue. Hours during which the Student Project can be viewed and the People’s Choice voted upon are from April 30 2 -5 p.m. on Saturday, and from noon -3:30 p.m. on Sunday May 1, at which time the Art Show will begin.
