Excelling as a Team Leader is the title of a course offered at Garrett College through the division of Continuing Education and Workforce Development (CEWD). Sessions are scheduled on the McHenry campus on three consecutive Tuesdays from October 8th through October 22nd, 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.
With the goal of maximizing individual and organizational performance, the course is designed for current team leaders seeking to enhance their skills as well as business owners who wants to promote success within team leadership.
Instructor Vickie Wilt will provide techniques to becoming a more effective leader capable of inspiring trust and respect within the team and stimulating production. Topics for class discussion will include team dynamics, effective communication and listening skills, building better relationships, and ways to capitalize on a team’s varying strengths.
