• Tony Lucca from NBC’s “The Voice” performs for a Mardi Gras party at 10 p.m. March 1 in The Icehouse. Signed to Adam Levine’s 222 Records, Lucca’s most recent EP release is “With the Whole World Watching.”

• On March 7, interactive documentary filmmaker Elaine McMillion Sheldon presents “Hollow – the Film” at 7:30 p.m. in Eshleman Science Center room 400. The production tells the story of McDowell County, W.Va., through the eyes of its residents. It traces the county’s history from boom and bust economies, and challenges and triumphs of every size. The event also offers visitors the opportunity to record their thoughts on West Virginia via a story booth.

• A tropical theme highlights the evening of March 8 with a free live performance by Cover Drive at 10 p.m. in The Icehouse. With a mission of bring the sunshine and sounds of their native Barbados to the world, the quartet has ignited the UK charts with three Top 10 hits.

• The Davis & Elkins College Dance Festival, March 14-16 in Myles Center for the Arts, will include workshops, social dance events and concerts featuring performances by students, faculty, guest artists and local dance professionals.

• Dog & Gun featuring Davis & Elkins College Instructor of Mathematics Nathan Sams performs a mountain music show in The Icehouse at 10 p.m. March 14. The band has been performing its traditional Appalachian music throughout north central West Virginia since 2011.

• On March 21, it’s everything Irish as Myles Center for the Arts presents Gaelic Storm. The six-member band with its signature acoustic production blends indie-folk and world grooves with Celtic tradition. With catalog sales of more than 1 million, the group’s latest release, “The Boathouse,” is their fourth to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard World Albums Chart.
