County Wide Prayer event

County Wide Prayer event at 6 p.m.at Centennial Park. Sponsored by Awaken The Dawn Ministries. Will be led by Rev. Pam Scott. Rain or shine. For more info can call 304 678-6975

Farm Bureau Meeting and Dinner

The Tucker County Farm Bureau Annual meeting and dinner will be at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15 at the Parsons Senior Center. Bring a covered dish, all other is provided.

Free Music at Parsons Presbyterian Church

There will be free music by DAN at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15 at Parsons Presbyterian Church. 50/50 drawing and refreshments.

Library Board Meeting

Library Board Meeting, Tuesday, September 18 at 5 p.m. in the library meeting room. Open to Public.

Open House Events

Randolph-Tucker Children’s Advocacy Center will host local and state officials at the Come to See Your CAC Open House events. Open House guests will be able to tour Randolph-Tucker Children’s Advocacy Center’s facilities where child victims receive comprehensive, coordinated, and compassionate services. The event will be Sept. 27 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at the Randolph County office – 313 Henry Avenue, Elkins

Half Marathon Race

The Highlands Trail Foundation is holding a half marathon race down the Blackwater Canyon from Thomas to Parsons on Saturday morning, Sept. 15. 100 runners will be competing in this epic event on the Allegheny Highlands Trail making their way from the river park in Thomas through Hendricks and Hambleton, ending in Mill Race Park in Parsons. Volunteers are needed to man the aid stations at Douglas Falls and Hendricks and to help with parking in Parsons. If you would like to volunteer, text or call Bonnie Swyter at 304-642-8773. Spectators are encouraged to come out and cheer the racers on along the way.
