Easter Egg Hunt and Easter Bunny Visit

There will be an Easter Egg Hunt and Easter Bunny visit, at 1 p.m., on April 20, at The Davis Community Center. Everyone welcome.

Historical Society Meeting

The Tucker County Historical Society will meet Sunday April 14 at 2 p.m. at the Tucker County Historical Society Museum, in the Tucker County Annex. Visitors welcome.

Men’s Fellowship Breakfast

Sausage Gravy, Biscuits, Home Fries, Juice and Coffee is the menu offered on the first Sunday of each month during the fall and winter season at First United Methodist Church in Parsons.
Those attending the breakfast on April 7 were: Eldon Harper, Bobby Phillips, Robert Leard, Billy McDonald, Marvin Canfield, Dave Bava, Jared Parsons, Donald L. Knotts, Thomas Evans, Sharon Phillips, Katherine Pine, Dennis Pine, Katy Ends, Edwin and Wanda Booth. Dee and Connie Sponaugle, Ed Poling, Wanda Snider, Don Nestor, Jason, Rhonda, Sadie and Matthew Ends, Leona Marsh and Canan Summerfield.
The next breakfast will be after the Sunrise Service on Sunday, April 21. This will be the last breakfast until fall. Thanks to everyone who supported this fellowship at our church.

Spring Craft Show

There will be a Spring Craft Show from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 13 at Tucker Valley Elementary Middle School.

Lenten Fish Fry

Lenten Fish Fry will be Friday April 12 at Our Lady of Mercy Social Hall and St Thomas Center from 4 to 6 p.m. 8oz. Fish Fillet, Mac & Cheese, Green Beans, Cole Slaw, Dinner Roll, Fruit Salad, coffee and punch for $8. Eat in or carry out, at both locations.

Earth Day Community Clean-Up

Join Friends of Blackwater from 4 to 6 p.m. on April 22 to pick up garbage along Camp 70 road. Meet by the dollar store parking lot, in Davis. Friends of Blackwater will provide garbage bags, gloves, and other supplies. Forinformation email kate@saveblackwater.org

Parsons High School Alumni Association Meeting

The Parsons High School Alumni Association will meet Thursday, April 11, at Tucker County Senior Center at 5 p.m. Dinner plans are underway for the May 25 Alumni banquet and other festivities.

Davis Food Pantry hours

Davis Food Pantry hours will be moved in May, May 1, to 1 p.m.-5p.m., on the first Wednesday. These hours will continue until further notice. Any questions, call 304—866-2317.

Ramp Supper

Annual Pickens American Legion Post 122 Ramp Supper will be April 20, at the American Legion Hall in Pickens, from 2 to 6:30 p.m. Donation: Adults – $15, children under 12: $5. Ramps, Ham, Potatoes, Brown Beans, Cole Slaw with homemade dressing, Applesauce, Cornbread, Dessert and Drinks. For information call 304-924-5813 or 304-924-5205.
