Upcoming Health Fair
Central West Virginia Aging Services Health Fair and Flu Clinic will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 22 at 8 North Spring St. in Buckhannon from 8 – 11 a.m.  The cost of the lab work is $10 (total) for the Complete Metabolic Panel, Lipid Panel and Complete Blood Count.  The A1C will be $3 and the PSA will be $3.  Informational booths will be on hand to discuss the services offered in the area and light refreshments will be served.
St. George Park Fall Festival
St. George Park Fall Festival will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12 in the park.  Chicken dinners, hotdogs,   silent auction, hay rides, cake walk, yard sale and much more. Everyone welcome.
Friends of Cortland Acres Meeting
There will be a meeting of the Friends of Cortland Acres October 7 at 1 p.m. in the Gathering Room.  For information, contact Marie Grafton, Activity Director at 304-463-4181 ext 218.
Craft Show and Bake Sale
Craft Show and Bake Sale at Five Rivers Public Library, Friday, October 11, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., 50/50, Fall and Christmas Décor, Crochet items, Handcrafted jewelry, Hand painted signs, Apple pie filling, Rada cutlery, Soaps and Salves.
Flu Shot Clinics
The Tucker County Health Department will be giving flu shots from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10 at the First United Methodist Church in Parsons and from 10 – 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at the Davis Fire Hall.  Seasonal flu shots will be given to anyone 18 years of age or older.  If you have Medicare or insurance, please bring your card.  You will not be charged any co-pay.  If you don’t have insurance, you can still receive a flu shot at no cost.
