Monthly Sing
The monthly sing of the St. George United Methodist Charge will be Saturday, October 19, at Leadmine United Methodist Church. . Singing  at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
Blackwater Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution  Meeting
The Blackwater Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will meet Oct. 19 at 11 a.m. at Little Andi’s in Parsons. All members and prospective members please plan to attend.
Volunteer Training Education
West Virginia Caring will be holding a volunteer training education on Monday, October 21, 2019 from 7 – 9 p.m. at the Parsons Senior Center in Parsons, WV.   For info contact Nancy Dotson at (304) 376-1559 or email her at: ndotson@wvcaring.org
Free Public Events at Blackwater Falls State Park
Witches’ Brew Halloween Party and Haunted House – Witches’ Brew Halloween Party and Haunted House will be Saturday, Oct. 19 at 6:30 p.m. Annual Halloween Party Begins in Harold Walters Nature Center.  8 p.m. The Haunted Trail Walk Begins.  Designed for children up to 7th grade but all ages welcome to attend.  Costumes encouraged.
Appalachian Ghost Stories with JoAnn Dadisman – A premier ghost story teller, retired professor of English at WVU JoAnn Dadisman tells spine-chilling stories of Appalachian encounters and other tales of woe at Blackwater Falls Lodge at 8 p.m. The experience is free and the public is welcome to attend.
Historic Landmark Commission
The Tucker County Historic Landmark Commission will meet Monday, October 21, at Tip Top in Thomas at 5 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.
Red Cross Blood Drive
There will be a Red Cross Blood Drive on Monday, Oct. 21 from 12:30 – 6 p.m. at the Parsons Senior Center.  To schedule an appointment call 1-800-REDCROSS (1-800-733-2767) or go to RedCrossBlood.org and enter: parsonskiwanis.  Walk-ins are welcome.  Sponsored by The Parsons Kiwanis Club.
