Veterans Day program at Tucker Valley
The annual Veterans Day program at Tucker Valley will be Friday, November 8 at 10 a.m. All veterans may attend and do not have to have an invitation to come. Lunch will be provided after the program.

ELKINS, W.Va. – The following waters were stocked: Blackwater River; Buckhannon River; Seneca Lake; Shavers Fork (Bemis); Shavers Fork (lower section); Shavers Fork (upper section); South Branch (Franklin); South Branch (Smoke Hole); Spruce Knob Lake; Summerville Tailwaters; Sutton Tailwaters (stocked at first bridge downstream of dam in Sutton due to work being done on the inside of dam).; Teter Creek Lake; Tygart Lake Tailwaters; Tygart Valley River Headwaters; West Fork Greenbrier River.
Buckwheat Dinner
Buckwheat Dinner, all you can eat, with sausage, gravy & biscuits for an $8 donation on Saturday, Nov. 9 from 4 – 7 p.m. at St. John’s United Methodist Church. Sponsored by St. John’s United Methodist Men.
Annual Pork Steak Dinner
Annual pork steak dinner will be november 23 at the american legion hall in pickens, from 2 to 6 p.M.. Donation: adults – $12, children under 12 – $5. Baked pork steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, coleslaw, applesauce, homemade bread, dessert and drinks. Sponsored by pickens american legion post 122. Proceeds are used for upkeep on the american legion hallmand supporting our youth and others in need. Everyone is welcome, including hunters
Veterans Day Open house CVVFD
Veterans Day Open house at Canaan Valley Volunteer Fire Department Monday November 11 from 1 to 3 p.m. All Veterans and their families welcome. There will be a light meal, a presentation from the president of the West Virginia Gold Star Mothers, and patriotic music. Sponsored by the Canaan Valley Woman’s Club and CVVFD Auxiliary.
