Fairview Homecoming

The 40th Annual Fairview Homecoming will be on Sunday, June 26th at 12:30 p.m. at the church pavilion on Location Road, St. George. Picnic lunch at 12:30 followed by a short business meeting. Special 40th Anniversary activities are planned. Mowing donations can be made payable to Fairview Cemetery Fund, c/o Mt. Valley Bank, N.A., PO Box 383, Parsons, WV 26287. Everyone welcome!

REVIVAL

The St. George Church of God will have a revival at 6:30 p.m. nightly, June 14- 15- 16 with Brother Jerry Helmick from Elkins. Everyone welcome.

Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction

Parsons Church of God host a Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction on June 12, 2016 from 11:00a.m. to 1:30p.m. All proceeds to benefit Young Life Camp. Price: donation

Historical Society meeting

The Tucker County Historical Society will meet Sunday June 12 at 2 p.m. at the Tucker County Historical Society Museum in the Tucker County Annex at 501 Chestnut St., Parsons. Visitors welcome.

Aurora Project to host Alternative Photography Workshop

The Aurora Project will host an Alternative Photography Workshop from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 18. This workshop will be led by Nic Persinger.
Must bring own digital camera or digital images. The workshop costs $30, and includes the price of the print supplies. For more information or reservations, please email info@auroraproject.org or call the Aurora Project at (304) 735-3620.

Backyard Orchard Workshop

The Tucker County Extension Office and Dr. Donna Ballard, from Potomac State College, will present a Backyard Orchard Workshop at 5:30 p.m., on Thursday, June 30. WVU Extension – Chainsaw Use & Maintenance Workshop

The WV Friends of Firewood project is hosting an evening with an experienced instructor on how to maintain, sharpen and optimize the saw, and basics of safe operation on June 23 to learn about the proper techniques to keep your saws in top running and productive condition. The class will be held at the Parsons Nazarene Church on June 23 at 6 p.m. There is no cost for the class and light refreshments will be served. If you are interested in attending the class, notify the Extension Office by June 20. You can reach the office by calling 304/478-2949 ext:209.

Blackwater Chapter DAR meeting

The Blackwater Chapter, DAR will be holding their monthly meeting at 1 p.m. on June 11, 2016 at Lil Andi’s Restaurant in Parsons. All members are urged to attend for our swearing in of new officers.
