National Day of Prayer
National Day of Prayer services will be Thursday, May 3 at noon at the following places: Davis City Hall prayer led by Rev. Neil Parsons; Thomas Pavilion by Thomas Community Center prayer led by Rev. Donna Andes and Parsons Courthouse Square.
Local Music Showcase
ArtSpring will host a showcase featuring local musicians including The Sugarfoot Stompers, The Off Set, Sadie Palmer, Ben Townsend, and Jesse Milnes at the Purple Fiddle in Thomas on Friday, April 20 from 8:30-11 p.m. The cover charge is $10 and benefits the ArtSpring Festival.
TCHS Senior Art Show Reception
Graduating Tucker County High School Art Students will display artwork for an opening reception Friday, April 20, from 6-8 p.m. at Cottrill’s Opera House in Thomas. The pop-up gallery will also be open for viewing on Saturday, April 21, from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Thomas Celebration
New Historic Thomas will host a Celebration of Thomas on April 26 from 6:30-8:30 p.m at Cottrill’s Opera House in Thomas for community reflection on the beautification of Thomas, completion of the public art pieces, and progress on the city park trails.
Monthly sing of the St. George United Methodist Charge
The monthly sing of the St. George United Methodist Charge will be Saturday night at Union Chapel on Clover Run at 7 p.m. Everyone one is invited.

WV DNR Natural Resources Commission meeting April 22 at 11 p.m. at Canaan Valley State Park.
Agenda includes proposal for hunting in state parks including Canaan Valley. Public invited and public comments accepted.
