PRO Meeting

Parson Revitalization Organization will hold its monthly meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 29 at City Hall. The meeting is open to the public and new members are welcome.

Opening Day for Boulder Park

Tucker Boulder Park ribbon cutting and opening day on Friday, August 25, from 1-5 p.m. Music, refreshments and climbing demo’s for all ages and abilities. The park is located behind the Davis Ball Field at 14626 Appalachian Highway. Everyone welcome.

Movie Night Monday at Five Rivers Public Library

Movie Night Monday at Five Rivers Public Library, Aug. 28 at 6 p.m. Showing Hidden Figures, Rated PG. An incredible and inspiring untold true story about three women at NASA who were instrumental in one of history’s greatest operations – the launch of astronaut John Glenn into orbit.
Free community event. All welcome. Snacks and drinks provided.

Cakewalk

The Randolph, Tucker and Barbour Future Nursing Class will hold a cakewalk at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 26 on the Parsons Courthouse Square. There will be hotdogs and drinks for donations.

Dog Days and Open House

Dog Days and Open House from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 – 6 p.m. o Friday, Aug. 25 at Elkins Randolph County Public Library. Everyone welcome.

Free Friday

Free Friday will be Aug. 25, at 6 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church. A free meal of pulled pork and other assorted sandwiches, assorted summer salads, baked beans, chips, desserts and drinks will be served. Everyone is welcome.
