Joshua L. Sharp, Parsons, was cited for speeding (59-45) by Sgt. C.D. Siler. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
Benjamin O. Beckwith, Smithburg, Md. was cited for no proof of insurance by Deputy B.T. Zirk. The charge was dismissed with proof shown.
Tyler S. Evans, Waynesburg, Pa. was cited for speeding (55-45) and no insurance by Cpl. D.W. Burge. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $200 and court cost of $165.25.
Nicholas M. Millett, Elkins, was cited for speeding (59-45) by Sgt. C.D. Siler. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
Jared P. Milliron, Eglon, was cited for speeding (79-65) by Sgt. C.D. Siler. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
Scott P. Cutlip, Morgantown, was cited for no seatbelt by TFC J.J. Schmidle. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $25.

Mellisa A. Bowley, Parsons, was cited for cell phone use and no seatbelt by Sgt. C.D. Siler. She was assessed fines of $125.
Timothy P. Lauf, Dunville, Va. was cited for no proof of insurance by Deputy C.R. Donelson. The charge was dismissed with proof shown.
Vineet Pande, Cockeysville, Md. was cited for speeding (75-65) by Cpl. D.W. Burge. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.

The following criminal complaints have been filed in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:
Cody Taylor Yingst, Hurricane, was charged with one felony count of malicious or unlawful assault; a miscellaneous count of Battery and interfering with emergency communications. According to the complaint, on Wednesday, Jan. 11 Deputy C.R. Donelson, of the Tucker County Sheriff’s Department, was dispatched to Davis for a possible domestic altercation in progress. Upon arrival, Donelson was met by US Fish and Wildlife police officer Hartwig and DNR police officer Ozales who had the defendant, Cody Yingst, detained for officer safety reasons. Hartwig advised Donelson that there was a marijuana smoking device near the driver’s seat of the vehicle that Yingst was in possession of. When asked by Donelson if there was anything illegal in the vehicle, Yingst allegedly advised he had marijuana in the vehicle. Yingst was observed to have alcohol on the breath and constricted pupils. Donelson and Hartwig searched the vehicle and located and secured a clear plastic baggie containing a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana along with a smoking device for evidence. Donelson then met with the victim, Kirsten Jividen, who provided a two page statement. She stated that she was co-workers with the defendant and that the two had came up to Timberline to ski. She stated that when they arrived at Yingst’s parents home he said he wanted to rest so they laid down in the bed. While in the bed, the defendant allegedly tried to kiss her and she advised him no, that they were just friends. At this point, Yingst allegedly began drinking and becoming mean. The two then traveled to Hellbenders restaurant, where the defendant allegedly became drunk and was unable to stand, forgot his keys and was unable to return to the residence. While sitting in the car, the defendant became angry, stated that he hated the victim and was going to beat her up. He grabbed her and would not let go. She was able to get away but he pursued her, grabbing her again and hitting her in the shoulder, ribs and back. At this point he allegedly burned her head with a cigarette. She attempted to call 911 and he took the phone away from her. Red and purple marks, as well as a burn on the head, were observed on the victim. Yingst was placed under arrest and transported to the Parsons Police Detachment of the West Virginia State Police then to Tygart Valley Regional Jail where he was under a $7,500 bond.
Brian Keith Calvert, Parsons, was charged with Domestic Battery. The complaint states that on Friday, Dec. 2, 2016, Cpl. J.E. Kopec responded to a domestic dispute involving the suspect; Brian Keith Calvert, and the victim; Monica Lee Thompson. Kopec arrived at the location and observed the victim to have a red, swollen, fat lip. A bruise on her right arm and two holes punched in the bathroom wall. Thompson summarized that she and the defendant were driving in his truck and began arguing. She stated that they arrived back at their residence and continued arguing. She said that the defendant allegedly dragged her off the bed, slapped her in the mouth, shoved her head through the wall twice and rubbed her face in the carpet. Calvert posted a $2,500 property/surety bond and a court hearing is scheduled for March 7 at 10 a.m. before Magistrate William M. Miller.
Keristan Breann Rhoades, Hambleton, has been charged with Domestic Battery. According to the complaint, on Monday, May 25, 2016, Zachary Logan Southern was at his residence when he and the defendant engaged in a verbal altercation. He told her to leave and she refused to go, and continued to talk to Southern. He refused to talk to her and tried to leave the residence at which point the defendant refused to move so he could leave. At this point, she slapped him in the face. She advised she would leave and at this point he dialed 911. Rhoades has a court hearing scheduled for April 11 at 11 a.m. before Magistrate Riley H. Barb.
Jennifer Robin Smart, Parsons, was charged with Failure to register as Sex Offender. The complaint states that on Friday, Oct. 21, 2016, the defendant left her employment at Timberline Resort. On Monday, Jan. 2, she traveled to the West Virginia Police Detachment in Parsons to change her sex offender registration. She did not change her employment status at Timberline until questioned by Cpl. D.W. Burge. Burge contacted Timberline and requested the employment termination date and was advised that she had left on Sunday, Oct. 9, 2016. She posted a PR bond of $1,000.
The following cases have been ordered and adjudged in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:
Cody Taylor Yingst, Hurricane, received judgment of dismissed by Mag-State-No Fee for one felony count of malicious or unlawful assault; he pled guilty per plea agreement for one count battery and guilty per plea agreement for one count interfering with emergency communications. He was fines $165.25; received a 9 month suspended jail sentence. He must attend 10 AA classes and 10 anger management classes. This case was ordered and adjudged on Jan. 18 by Magistrate Riley H. Barb.
Jennifer Smart, Parsons, received judgment of dismissed by Mag-State-No Fee for one count failure to register as sex offender.
State of West Virginia verses David J. Crouch, Parsons, received judgment of Probable Cause Found for one count manufacture/deliver/possess with intent to manufacture/deliver (Schedule I, II, III,other). This case was bound over to the Tucker County Circuit Court. This case was ordered and adjudged on Jan. 11 by Magistrate Riley H. Barb.
State of West Virginia verses Carla Jean Robinette, Davis, received judgment of No Porbable Cause Found for one count Entering of building other than dwelling, entry of railroad, traction or motorcar, steamboat or vessel with a violation date on or about Dec. 27, 2014 through April 11, 2015. The case was dismissed without prejudice on Jan. 17 by Magistrate William M. Miller.
State of West Virginia verses Jonathan E. Keplinger, Lahmansville, received judgment of Dismissed per plea agreement for one count Gross neglect of a child creating a substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury which occurred on Nov. 10, 2016. This case was heard on Jan. 12 by Magistrate William M. Miller.
St. George Medical Clinic verses Moore: On January 12, the court granted judgment of Dismissed against Barbara A. Moore. Motion filed to dismiss by plaintiff- parties have settled. This case was heard on Jan 12 by Magistrate William M. Miller.
City of Parsons verses Cailin Hebb: The court ruled in favor of the City of Parsons in the amount of $394.41 plus $75 court cost. This case was heard on Jan. 10 by Magistrate Riley H. Barb.
Robinson verses Brewster: The court ruled in favor of Cathy D. Robinson against William Brewster in the amount of $868 plus $80 court cost. This case was heard on Jan. 11 by Magistrate Riley H. Barb.
