The following citations have been recorded in the Tucker County Magistrate office:
- Hunter D. Hardy, Parsons, was cited for no MVI by Cpl. D.W. Burge. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- James A. Ranfone, Arlington, Va. was cited for speeding (74-65) by Cpl. J.E. Kopec. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- Terry S. Maddox, Mt. Vernon, Ga. was cited for obstructing traffic by Cpl. J.E. Kopec. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- Derek M. Bolyard, Elkins, was cited for speeding (69-65) by TFC J.J. Schmidle. He pled guilty and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- Mikel H. Mastroguiseppe, Shepherdstown, was cited for expired MVI by Cpl. D.W. Burge. He pled guilty and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- Kyle H. Stemple, Parsons, was cited for no insurance by Cpl. D.W. Burge. The charge was dismissed with proof shown.
The following criminal complaints have been filed in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:
- Katie Marie Phillips, Parsons, was charged with one felony count Shoplifting 3rd Offense. According to the complaint, on Friday, Nov. 16 Cpl. D.W. Burge received a complaint via telephone from the Parsons Dollar General Store of a possible shoplifter. He traveled to the store and was advised that a white female had entered the store and was spotted by an employee allegedly placing items into her black purse. He was advised that the female left the store in a silver Chevrolet Trail Blazer without paying for the items. He was given the license number of the vehicle, he contacted Elkins Communications and located the owner of the vehicle. He reviewed store video and observed the defendant actually shoplifting. He then traveled to her residence and met with her. She signed appropriate forms and was interviewed. He obtained a written statement from the defendant whereas she allegedly admitted to shoplifting five items from the store. He obtained the items which matched the items described by the staff of the store. He traveled back to the store and obtained photographs of the stolen items and prices for the items. The total for the stolen items came to $20. She had two prior shoplifting offenses from 2013 and 2015 in Randolph County. A $5,000 bond was not posted.
- Matthew Logan Lipscomb, Hendricks, was charged with one count Violation of a Protective Order. The complaint states that on Wednesday, Nov. 14 at approximately 7:19 p.m. Cpl. J.E. Kopec received a complaint from the victim, Ashley Lipscomb, in reference to the defendant, Matthew Lipscomb, violating a Protective Order served on him at the Tygart Valley Regional Jail prior to him violating it by calling her phone and threatening her. She stated that he allegedly called her approximately 30 times since being served the protective order. He posted a $2,000 PR bond and a court hearing is scheduled for Dec. 14 at 9:30 a.m. before Magistrate William M. Miller.
