The following citations have been recorded in the Tucker County Magistrate office:
- Charles J. Helmick, Horner, was cited for speeding (79-65) and no proof of insurance by Sgt. C.D. Siler. He pled no contest to both charges and was assessed fines of $204.75 and court cost of $330.50.
- Christopher B. Gidley, Hambleton, was cited for no insurance and expired registration by Cpl. D.W. Burge. The first charge was dismissed with proof shown and he pled no contest to second charge. He was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- Brandy N. Bolinger, Hambleton, was cited for no insurance by Cpl. D.W. Burge. She pled no contest and was assessed fines of $200 and court cost of $165.25.
The following criminal complaints have been filed in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:
- Jason Allen Adkins, Hendricks, was charged with one felony count of forgery. According to the complaint on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2018 TFC J.J. Schmidle was met at the West Virginia State Police Detachment by Jimmy Propst in regards to a worthless/forged check complaint. Schmidle obtained a statement from Propst where he said Mountain Valley Bank advised that the check was forged. It was dated for Nov. 1, 2018 and had the forged signature of Brian L. Adkins. The check was made out to the defendant and was in the amount of $50. He further stated that the check was uttered to him by Hannah Adkins. Schmidle was provided a copy of the check. On Sunday, Dec. 16, 2018 Schmidle and Tucker County Sheriff’s Deputy D. Sliwinski located Ms. Adkins at her residence. Schmidle acquired several worthless check warrants for Ms. Adkins. He executed the warrants and placed her in custody. She was transported to the WVSP Parsons Detachment for processing. She was asked about the uttered check to Propst and she allegedly stated that she knew the check had been forged and still uttered it to Propst Store. She allegedly stated the check had been forged by her husband Jason Allen Adkins and that he stole the checks from his father Brian L. Adkins when he borrowed his truck. He posted a $500 PR bond and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 19 at 2 p.m. before Magistrate William M. Miller.
- Jason Franklin Brickles, Kerens, was charged with one count of Domestic Battery. The complaint states that on Dec. 27, 2018, the defendant had drunk several beers and was intoxicated when he began to argue with his 15 year old son over the use of his cell phone. After a few minutes of arguing, the defendant spit in his son’s face and grabbed him by the throat. The defendant allegedly shoved his against the wall in the hallway of the home and punched him twice on the right side of his face. The defendant’s wife separated the two to end the confrontation. This incident occurred at the Brickle’s residence on Slab Camp Road. He posted a $1,000 PR bond and a court hearing is scheduled for March 21 at 11:30 a.m. before Magistrate William M. Miller.
- Dawn Denise Lambert, Ona, was charged with one count of Possession of a controlled substance (meth). According to the complaint, on Sunday, Feb. 3 Cpl. J.E. Kopec and Cpl. D.W. Burge were conducting road patrol in Davis when a truck was observed traveling south with no inspection sticker. Kopec initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver as Dawn Denise Lambert. Upon approaching the vehicle he observed the driver and passenger moving frantically inside the cab as if trying to hide items. Both were acting suspiciously and Lambert was asked if anything illegal was in the vehicle and she allegedly stated there was not. Both were asked to exit the vehicle and upon the passenger’s exit (James Hayes) a clear plastic bag containing .48 grams of what is believed to be Heroin fell from his person in Burge’s presence. Burge later obtained a statement from Hayes allegedly advising he had injected Heroin in her vehicle just prior to the traffic stop. A search was conducted of the vehicle which yielded several clear plastic baggies with white powdery residue from Lambert’s affects and one small baggy containing approximately .5 grams of what is to be believed to be meth. It was recovered from the center console of the truck assessable by both occupants. Two uncapped used needles were recovered from the vehicle on the passenger side. The license plate on the vehicle came back to a 2004 Chevy Cavalier and she had no proof of insurance. Both were arrested on scene for possession of a controlled substance, Lambert for the suspected meth and Hayes for the suspected Heroin. Both were processed and transported to
- The Tygart Valley Regional Jail. K-9 and Handler Deputy B.T. Zirk were utilized and assisted in the incident. She posted a $1,000 PR bond and a court hearing is scheduled for March 21 at 10:30 a.m. before Magistrate William M. Miller.

- Nestor verses Moran: On Feb. 4 the court granted in favor of Dale G. and Marty A. Nestor against Dustin Bruce Moran in the amount of $3,250 plus $95 court cost.
- Fuchs verses Spalding: On Feb. 4 the court granted in favor of
- April H. Yancey and Paul Fuchs against James and Amanda Spalding in the amount of $1,325 plus $105 court cost.
- State of West Virginia verses Melissa Ann Jones: Parsons, She received judgment of guilty verdict for one count Truancy. She was assessed cost and fees of $190.25.
