The following citations have been recorded in the Tucker County Magistrate office:
- Richard T. Rohrbaugh, Matsville, was cited for expired registration by Cpl. D.W. Burge. He pled guilty and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- Gary W. Streets, Mt. Storm, was cited for no proof of insurance by TFC J.J. Schmidle. The charge was dismissed with proof shown.
- Melody D. Henderson, Hambleton, was cited for expired registration and expired operators by Cpl. D.W. Burge. She pled no contest and was assessed fines of $9.50 and court cost of $330.50.
- Jeffrey A. Knight, Hurricane, was cited for no proof of insurance by TFC J.J. Schmidle. The charge was dismissed with proof shown.
- Linda K. Goodwin, Elkins, was cited for speeding (69-65) by TFC J.J. Schmidle. She pled guilty and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
The following criminal complaints have been filed in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:
- Barbara Moore, Parsons, was charged with one count Truancy. The complaint states that she did fail to cause a minor to regularly attend Tucker County High School for 16 full unexcused days. She paid a PR bond of $500 and a court hearing is scheduled for May 16 at 11:30 a.m. before Magistrate William M. Miller.
- Mindy Durham, Parsons, was charged with one count Truancy. The complaint states that she did fail to cause a minor to regularly attend Tucker County High School for 16 full unexcused days. She paid a PR bond of $500 and a court hearing is scheduled for June 5 at 11 a.m. before Magistrate Riley H. Barb.
- Mario Alberto Orellana, Independence, was charged with two felony counts of Conspiracy. According to the complaint, on Friday, April 15, 2016 Joshua Swisher conspired with Mario Orellana, owner and operator of ITT LLC by cellular telephone to steal a 2000 Rittenour Trailer belonging to Cynthia Harman from the parking lot of Kidwell Autoparts. The subjects further conspired to remove the Vehicle Identification Plate and replace it with a plate registered to Orellana. Swisher further took the stolen trailer to the truck yard of Orellana located in Independence, Preston County. At the location Sgt. D.W. Simmons located and recovered said trailer while it was in tow by Swisher. Cellular phone records show Swisher in Tucker County and that he had direct communications with Orellana. The trailer was subsequently identified by a unique and specific secondary identification plate and returned to the owner. The registration plate registered to this stolen trailer was later recovered by the Garrett County Sheriff’s Department from a vehicle in which Swisher was occupying during the commission of a crime in their county. Value listed of said trailer is listed at approximately $10,000. Orellana is under a $20,000 bond.
The following cases have been ordered and adjudged in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:
- State of West Virginia verses Calvin Lewis Hilliard: Oakland, Md. received judgment of Guilty-plea agreement for one count reckless driving and a Dismissed-plea agreement for one count driving under the influence (Misdemeanor bodily injury). He was assessed fines of $100 and cost and fees of $165.25.
- State of West Virginia verses Adam E. Putlovis: Davis, received judgment of Guilty-plea agreement for one count Violation of Personal Safety Order-1st offense. He was assessed cost and fees of $165.25; a suspended jail sentence of 90 days and must report to Day Reporting Center for 90 days.
