The following criminal complaints have been filed in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:

Staci Casstevens, Harman, was charged with one count uttering. On or about Feb. 21, Deputy D.A. Sliwinski of the Tucker County Sheriff’s office received a check from Big John’s Family Restaurant that was turned into Tucker County Magistrate Court as a worthless check. The check was found to be forged/uttered relating to other ongoing cases within the county. The check is from Kisner’s Pit Stop and had a driver’s license number and phone number both of which are nonexistent. The check was written for $75 on Jan. 31, 2020. Sliwinski obtained a hand written signed statement from an employee of the restaurant in which she stated she received a pre-filled out check from Staci Kastephens, who she knows from around the area. Casstevens is in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail under a $5,000 cash or property bond.

Brian Keith Wilson, Hambleton, was charged with seven offenses for violation of protective order. According to the complaint, on April 16 Deputy D.A. Sliwinski of the Tucker County sheriff’s office was notified by dispatch that a Tiffany Godwin was requesting to speak to an officer regarding a Domestic Violation Protective Order (DVPO) violation. Upon arrival at 62 Blackman Flats Rd. the victim provided Sliwinski multiple messages from a Facebook account belonging to Brian Wilson, including a picture of the defendant. Godwin was also able to show a phone call from a 304 phone number. She presumes this number belongs to Wilson. The missed phone call was received on April 16. A message received from the defendant states he wants her to call him back. Godwin was granted a DVPO against the accused and the order is active until April 27, 2020 and prohibits Wilson from contacting, telephoning or communicating with Godwin. He is under a $1,750 PR bond.
