Teter was dispatched by the Tucker County 911 Communications Center for a domestic fight call from 369 Bull Run Rd. Teter responded to this residence and met with the caller, Rocky Corcoran, who stated that he was on his family property walking up a logging road. He stated that his brother, Ricky Corcoran, drove up to him and stopped. Rocky said, “Rick, what are you doing?” Rocky claims that Ricky just blew up at him, cussing and yelling and then allegedly told him, “put your rifle down and we will settle this.” Rocky stated that he started to walk away and Ricky came up and shoved him from the back. He said that when he turned around Ricky allegedly punched him in the eye with a closed fist knocking him to the ground. Ricky allegedly continued to punch him in the face and body and kicked him in the ribs. He said he could not breathe and that Ricky allegedly said he hoped he would die and that he should kill him and then kicked him in the head. Ricky stopped beating on him and stood there while Rocky was on the ground. Rocky was able to get up and went back to his truck and left. Rocky went back to his house and called 911. Teter noted red marks and swelling on Rocky’s face and a knot on the left side of his chest/rib area. Rocky went to the hospital and received medical care for injuries sustained during this altercation. On Tuesday, Nov. 17 at approximately 5:30 p.m. Teter met with Ricky Corcoran at the Tucker County Sheriff’s office and interviewed him about the incident that occurred between him and his brother, Rocky. He stated that he was going up to his hunting area on the top of the family farm. He stated that his brother was standing in the road with a rifle. Rocky allegedly started cussing at him and that was when Ricky stepped out of his truck door and said that Rocky stuck his finger in his face and said, “I’m going to kick your a**.” Ricky said, “Well put your gun down and we will settle this like men.” He claims Rocky started to walk away and Ricky said, “Well you are not so tough without your other brother here to back you.” He claims that Rocky turned to him and allegedly said, “I ought to go ahead and shoot you.” Ricky said, “Here I stand, if you are going to shoot me, then shoot me, my wife is on the next ridge and she will know what is going on because she knows you are on the property.” He said that Rocky started to walk away and Ricky said, “If you want to settle this, put the gun down and we will settle this like men.” He claims that Rocky walked over in front in front of him, put the gun down, shook his finger in his face and said, “I’m going kick your a**.” Ricky said, “I guess we are going to find out.” He then allegedly walked over and Ricky busted him in the eye. They got into a sort of wrestling match and fell onto the ground. Ricky hit him four or five more times and kicked him in the ribs. He then got up and stood there and Rocky stated he could not breathe. Rocky got up and Ricky claimed the Rocky grabbed a six foot long stick, two inches in diameter and started at him. Ricky told Rocky, “You better back off or there is going to be a round two and the best thing to do is get your gun and go off the hill that way and I will get in my truck and go up the hill this way.” Rocky got his stuff and walked down passed Ricky and turned back to him and said,” You are going to pay for this.” Ricky said, “Well whatever.” Rocky said, “As a matter of fact I ought to go ahead and shoot you.” Ricky claimed that Rocky threatened to shoot him twice during the incident and Rocky allegedly denies threatening to shoot Ricky. All individuals are presumed innocent until proven otherwise in a court of law.

Zirk went back out to speck with Queen and she provided him with a handwritten and signed statement. In summary, she stated last night she was not feeling well, came home and got a bath. She stated Minear started running his mouth and they got into an argument. She stated he started holding a pistol to his head and tried to get to the gun locker. She got up and asked him what his issue was when he pushed her into the gun locker and walked out of the room. She stated he tried to get his boots and she tried to get them away from him. She did not want him to leave because he held a gun to his head the night before and she did not know what he was going to do. She said he grabbed her and threw her against the wall and she fell to the ground, she got up, grabbing a broom stick and began to hit him with it to get him to stop hitting her. She said he took the broom from her and put his arm against her neck with her back to the wall and she could not breathe. She said she pinched his nose to get away and he started swinging the broom stick and hit her with it. She stated she grabbed the stick away from him. He grabbed her again throwing her to the ground and she heard her ankle pop and he left. Let it be noted Queen refused treatment and transport from EMS. Zirk explained the Domestic Violence Protective Order to her and she stated she understood. She stated she will file one when her ride comes and takes her to town. The officers traveled to 22 Limestone Rd to the residence of Minear’s parents to speak with him. He provided a hand written and signed statement saying On Saturday, Oct. 3 he returned home from hunting and when he arrived at his house, Queen was agitated about him being gone so long which stated an argument. He said he went into the bathroom to get away from her and she broke the door. He then went into the garage and she was throwing things at him. He said he tried to de-escalate the situation by getting her to calm down and mention he would like for her to find a place to go. He stated she threatened to cut her wrists if he were to call the cops on her. He stated he just told her what she wanted to here to get her to calm down. And the cops were not contacted until today. He said he wanted to go check his deer cameras and retrieve his bow he left in his blind yesterday and she would not let him leave. He said she started to break things again so he started recording her. He started she charged him, began hitting him and shoved him into the wall. He tried to get to the back door to get out of the house but she was behind him with a broom and began to hit him with the stick and throwing his boots so he could not put them on. He stated as soon as he got his boots on she cornered him and began to hit him with the stick again. He said he shoved her away into a wall and went out the back door straight to his parent’s house.
