Maria B. Ricottilli, Harman, was cited for no insurance by Cpl. D.W. Burge. She was assessed fines of $200 and court cost of $165.25.

The following criminal complaints have been filed in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:
Eric Lester Mullenax, Parsons, was charged with a felony of forgery, uttering. The complaint states that on Wednesday, July 5, Cpl. J.E. Kopec received an investigation from Parsons City Police Chief Bill Rowe in reference to Forgery and Uttering.
Kopec obtained a one page written and signed statement from the victim; Laiken Paige White which summarized that she had received four pages of notification about an active worthless check warrant on her. She stated that she called Jim’s All Star and was told that Justin Sacks and Eric Mullenax were the ones to bring the check in. She stated that she had not been in Tucker County since she had left in February. She also stated that she did not have that checking account since 2010. She did not sign the check or give permission to have her name signed. She stated that her ex, Justin William Sacks, must allegedly have a stack of checks that she didn’t burn or know about. She said that Sacks allegedly was aware that the account was closed.
Kopec traveled to Jim’s All Star and obtained a written statement from James Propst. He stated that in April of 2017 Eric Mullenax brought a pre signed check in and filled the rest out at the counter. He said he saw the name on the top of the check and told Mullenax he didn’t want the check. He said the defendant told him the check was good but he would bring money in the next morning and pick it up because that was all he had at the time. He never returned. Propst stated that Mullenax filled his vehicle up with gas then Justin Sacks allegedly pulled up and filled his up as well. Propst said Miss White was not present at the time of this incident. He said the check bounced and the account had been closed for years. The check was for $65.13.
On Friday, Dec. 8, 2017, the defendant arrived at the Parsons State Police Detachment and provided a written confession where he allegedly admitted to forging and uttering the victim’s check. He did not implicate Sacks in the incident as to the theft of the check.
He posted a $1,000 PR bond and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 8 at 11:30 a.m. before Magistrate William M. Miller.
Chastiti Lee Hall, Oakland, Md. was charged with Stalking and three counts of Harassment by compute or phone. The complaint states that on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017 Sgt. C.D. Siler met with Robert Thomas at the Parsons Detachment of the West Virginia State Police in reference to a stalking and telephone harassment complaint. Thomas stated that his ex-girlfriend, the defendant, had allegedly called his cell phone and left several voice mails and several messages through Facebook messenger in an attempt to get back together. Some of the messages contained threats toward him and his family. She allegedly sent several threatening messages to Thomas’s new girlfriend and his mother. She allegedly stated in one of her messages that she had came to Thomas to their residence. She posted a $1,000 PR bond and a court hearing is scheduled for April 3 at 9:30 a.m. before Magistrate William M. Miller.

State of West Virginia verses Daniel Leon Sherman: He received judgment of Motion by the Prosecuting Attorney to dismiss – Granted by the Magistrate – No fees charged on the case for one count Domestic battery which occurred on June 2, 2017. Motion by the State to dismiss was granted by the Magistrate. This case was heard on Feb. 27 by Magistrate Riley H. Barb.
State of West Virginia verses Brandon Bruce Moran, Hambleton, received judgment of Dismissed – Deferred sentence for one count unlawful acts of persons – criminal penalties; Nonintoxicated beer (18-21) which occurred on July 8, 2017. He was assessed cost and fees of $165.25; deferred sentence of six months and Diversionary agreement completed. This case was heard on Feb. 13 by Magistrate William M. Miller.
State of West Virginia verses Linda L. Moore: received judgment of Motion by the Prosecuting Attorney to dismiss – Granted by the Magistrate – No fees charged on the case for one count Cruelty to animals (Shelter) which occurred on Dec. 28, 2017. Motion by the State to dismiss was granted by the Magistrate. This case was heard on Feb. 22 by Magistrate Riley H. Barb.
West Virginia University Hospital verses Michael: The court found in favor of WVU Hospital against Peter Shannon Michael in the amount of $1,294.31 plus $80 court cost. This case was heard on Feb. 22 by Magistrate William M. Miller.
Hinkle verses Lester: The court found in favor of G. Scott Hinkle against Cory Allen Lester in the amount of $1,230 plus $85 court cost. This case was heard on Feb. 22 by Magistrate Riley H. Barb.
State of West Virginia verses Michael Cummings, Philippi, received judgment of guilty plea for one count person prohibited from possessing firearm which occurred on March 25, 2017. He was assessed cost and fees of $165.25; a suspended jail sentence of six months and must attend Day Reporting Center for six months. This case was heard on Feb. 26 by Magistrate Riley H. Barb.
