The following citations have been recorded in the Tucker County Magistrate office:
Shawn C. Pancake, Philippi, was cited for expired operators and no proof of insurance by Deputy C.R. Donelson. He pled no contest to the first charge and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25. The second charge was dismissed with proof shown.
Jeffrey A. Thompson, Parsons, was cited for expired registration by Cpl. D.W. Burge. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
Britni M. Ball, Parsons, was cited for no insurance by Cpl. D.W. Burge. The charge was dismissed with proof shown.
The following criminal complaints have been filed in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:
Marshall Dewaine Parsons, Jr. was charged with one count violation of protective order and one count interfering with emergency communications. The complaint states that on Saturday, Jan. 27 at approximately 11:09 p.m. officers were dispatched by Tucker County 911 to 848 Hendricks Hill Rd for a 911 hang-up call. Deputy B.T. Zirk and Chief Deputy C.R. Donelson of the Tucker County Sheriff’s office responded. While on scene, the officers were met by the complainant Morgan Lynn Parsons. Zirk obtained a written statement from her stating that she had come home to get clothes. Her brother-in-law was with her and checked the house. She went into the bathroom and when she came out her husband Marshall Parsons Jr. was in the hallway. He asked her not to do this and stay the night with him. She stated her brother-in-law got between them and she returned to her truck. She stated she got her kids out of her brother-in-law’s truck and put them in hers. She said the defendant cam out of the house and to her driver side door. She laid the phone down beside her and called 911. She said he allegedly grabbed the phone and she drove off. A domestic Violence Protective order had been issued and served a few hours prior to this incident. Parsons was located outside243 Long St in Hambleton. He was told he was under arrest and to step out of the vehicle but he would not comply and began to argue. He was removed from the vehicle and placed in handcuffs. He was transported to the Parsons Detachment of the West Virginia State Police for processing then to the Tygart Valley Regional Jail. During the investigation, processing and transporting He stated multiple times that he was messaging his son and thought it was okay to go back to the house. He posted a $2,000 PR bond and a court hearing is scheduled for March 22 at 10 a.m. before Magistrate William M. Miller.
Jill Elaine Evick, Parsons, was charged with DUI – .15 or higher BAC. According to the complaint, on Sunday, Feb. 11 at approximately 12:24 a.m. Deputy B.T. Zirk of the Tucker County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched by Tucker County 911 to the intersection of US219 and Wild Maggie Way for a one vehicle crash. Upon arrival he observed a white Jeep SUV appeared to have crashed into a large ditch. Evick was located in the back seat of a PVFD vehicle. She was asked if she was operating the vehicle at the time of the crash and she allegedly stated that she was. EMS arrived and she was placed in the back of the ambulance. Zirk entered to obtain a statement and observed her to be blood shot and glassy. He observed what appeared to be the odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from her breath. He asked her if she had anything to drink tonight and she stated she had a few beers a few hours ago. He did not obtain a statement from her due to her condition and she was transported to Davis Medical Center. Upon further investigation he observed a half full bottle of Jagermeister on the floor behind the driver’s seat. On Friday, Feb. 16, Zirk traveled to Randolph County magistrate court and obtained a search warrant for Evick’s medical records from Davis Medical Center with Cpl. D.W. Burge of the WVSP. Burge executed the warrant obtaining her medical records and provided them to Zirk. Her medical records show that her Blood Alcohol Concentration was .180 on the night of the accident. She posted a $1,000 PR bond and a Bench Trial is scheduled for June 21 at 10 a.m. before Magistrate Riley H. Barb.

State of West Virginia verses Ciara Beth Smith, Hambleton, received judgment of Dismissed for one count Domestic Battery and one count Domestic Assault which occurred on Jan 1 due to no witnesses. This case was heard on Feb. 27 by Magistrate Riley H. Barb.
State of West Virginia verses Clinton M. Cheek, Dry Fork, received judgment of no contest plea for one count Domestic Battery, violation date of Jan 19. He was assessed fines of $250 and court cost of $165.25. This case was heard on March 8 by Magistrate William M. Miller.
State of West Virginia verses Patricia L. Bohon, Davis, received judgment of no probable cause found for one count fraudulently obtaining food or lodging which occurred on Feb. 20. This case was heard on March 5 by Magistrate Riley H. Barb.
