  •  Kristin Nicole Coleman, Parsons, was charged with one count Domestic Battery and one count Obstructing/resisting an Officer.  According to the complaint, on Sunday, June 10, at approximately 11 a.m. Chief Deputy C.R. Donelson of the Tucker County Sheriff’s office along with Cpl. D.W. Burge of the West Virginia State Police was dispatched to 278 Holly Meadows Rd for a domestic altercation.  Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim, Brenda Moore, who stated that the defendant, who is her daughter, allegedly got into a verbal argument and during the argument the defendant grabbed a knife and slit her wrist.  Moore stated she was then able to get the knife from the defendant while she continued to argue.  Moore said the defendant allegedly wiped her blood on her, pulled her hair and hit her in the face prior to Moore’s husband restraining her on the ground.  Officers observed a cut on Coleman’s wrist consistent to Moore’s statement.  Donelson then advised the defendant that she was under arrest for domestic battery and instructed her to stand and place her hands behind her back whereas she refused.  Donelson then attempted to assist her when she pulled away.  He then placed her on the ground and placed her under arrest with assistance from Burge.  A $1,500 was not posted.
