The following citations have been recorded in the Tucker County Magistrate office:
- Nathan Joel Baker of Thomas was cited for Underage sell of alcohol by Dep. C.R. Donelson. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $25 and court cost of $165.25.
- Robin Russell Maxson, Jr. of Parsons was cited for No seatbelt by Cpl. M.S. Wetzel. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $25. Also a citation for No insurance was dismissed with proof shown.
- Shawn D. Grosser of Bethesda, Md. was cited for No seatbelt by Trp. J.E. Kopec. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $25.
- Patrick Shane Popish of Harpers Ferry was cited for Minor in possession of alcohol by Dep. C.R. Donelson. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $20 and court cost of $165.25.
- Dustin Thomas Grafton of Hambleton was cited for Speeding (59-55) by Dep. C.R. Donelson. He pled guilty and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
The following criminal case was heard in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:
Bernie James Phillips of Hambleton was charged with Domestic Battery on March 23. According to the criminal complaint, written by Dep. C. R. Donelson, upon arrival he met Cristie Renee Edmond, who stated that she had been punched by the defendant. She stated that she had come to the residence to retrieve clothing for her and her children when the defendant allegedly punched her on the left side of her head. She then stated that she turned around and he allegedly punched her in the right side of her head. When she advised the defendant that she was leaving, he allegedly punched her once more in the right eye. She said the defendant walked away stating, “I can’t believe I just did that”. Edmond stated that Phillips then asked her for a ride to the Citgo and she did so fearing of what he would do if she refused.
She stated that when she dropped him off, he was still in the store when her sister pulled up and she and her children got in the vehicle with her sister. She left the defendant at the store along with her car. At this time the called 911 and it should be noted the victim was transported by Tucker County EMS to Davis Memorial Hospital. Donelson stated that he observed bruising and swelling on the right side of the victim’s forehead and under her right eye.
The following cases have been assigned in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:
- Patricia Jean Helmick of Thomas was charged with Unlawful acts of licensees-beer sales under 21 on March 15. A court hearing is set for May 8 at 9:30 a.m. before Magistrate Carol D. Irons.
- Earnest Howell of Dailey was charged with Unlawful acts of licensees-beer sales under 21 on March 15. He pled not guilty on March 20 and a court hearing is set for May 1 at 10 a.m. before Magistrate Riley H. Barb.
- Bernie J. Phillips of Hambleton was charged with Domestic violence on March 23. A PR bond of $2,000 was set and a court hearing is scheduled for May 1 before Magistrate Riley H. Barb.
- Jimee Renee Parsons of Davis was charged with Unlawful acts of licensees-beer sales under 21 on March 15. Parsons pled not guilty on March 17 and a court hearing is set for May 8 at 9:15 a.m. before Magistrate Carol D. Irons.
- Jennifer Dawn Jones of Parsons was charged with Expired operators on March 26. She pled not guilty and a court hearing is scheduled for May 15 at 11:30 a.m. before Magistrate Riley H. Barb.
The following cases have been adjudged in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:
- Stephanie Dawn Monsey received a judgment of a guilty plea for one count of Driving Under the Influence. The date of the violation was September 28, 2011 and she received a fine of $100, with costs and fees of $20. The case was ordered and adjudged on March 25 by Magistrate Carol D. Irons.
- Paul Benjamin Quarles of Thomas received a judgment of a no contest plea of one count Driving Under the Influence. The date of the violation was February 26, 2012 and he received a fine of $100, with costs and fees of $20. He received credit of one day for time already served. The case was ordered and adjudged on March 25 by Magistrate Carol D. Irons.
