The following citations have been recorded in the Tucker County Magistrate office:
- Josef L. Marshall, Adamstown, Md., was cited for speeding (54-45) by Trooper J.E. Kopec. He pled guilty and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- Carla Jo Anderson, Parsons, was cited for cell phone use by Sgt. C.D. Siler. She pled no contest and was assessed fines of $100.
- John P. Thompson, Belington, was cited for speeding (59-45) by Sgt. C.D.
- Siler. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- Denise Ann Welch, Elkins, was cited for no insurance by Cpl. D.W. Burge. The charge was dismissed with proof shown.
- Dale Elton Schulz, Broad Run, Va., was cited for speeding (54-45) by Trooper J.E. Kopec. He pled guilty and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- Diane M. Elters, Hambleton, was cited for speeding (69-45) by Sgt. C.D. Siler. She pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25. A second charge of no proof of insurance was dismissed with proof shown.
- Jeremy B. Ridenour, Christiansburg, Va., was cited for speeding (34-25) by Trooper J.E. Kopec. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
The following criminal complaint has been filed in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:
- Coy Brady Ware, Aurora, was charged with DUI-Second offense, Driving revoked for DUI, No Insurance, Improper Registration and Failure to obey stop sign. According to the criminal complaint, on Tuesday, Feb. 3 at approximately 5 p.m. the Tucker County Sheriff’s Department was called out to a single vehicle accident in Canaan Valley. When officers arrived on the scene, Mr. Ware allegedly told the officer that someone else was driving but they had fled the scene. A witness to the accident stated that the defendant was the only one he saw around the car. The defendant had a strong odor of alcohol on his person so the officer administered field sobriety tests and the defendant failed said tests. According to the witness, the car was traveling fast, ran the stop sign and went into the ditch. Upon a registration check of the vehicle, the license came back belonging to another vehicle.
The following cases have been Ordered and Adjudged in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:
- Carol Godfrey, Hambleton, Judgment of guilty plea for one count making, issuing, worthless checks with a violation date of Sept. 25, 2014 and Sept. 29, 2014. She was assessed amounts for charge listed cost and fees $380.50 and restitution of $15 and $16.65. Case was Ordered and Adjudged on Tuesday, Feb. 3 by Magistrate William M. Miller.
- Joshua Casey Dishman, Davis, Judgment of guilty plea-agreement for one count misdemeanor offenses for violation of protective order, repeat offenses, penalties. The violation date was Dec. 16, 2014. He was assessed a fine of $250, cost and fees $179.75 and jail for two days with credit for time served. There were 14 additional counts dismissed. The case was Ordered and Adjudged on Tuesday, Feb. 3 by Magistrate Riley H. Barb.
