The following citations have been filed in the Tucker County Magistrate office:
- Jeffrey Allen Tompkins of Parsons was cited for No seatbelt by Dep. C. R. Donelson. He pled guilty and was assessed fines of $25.
- John Carl Rowan of Buckhannon was cited for No seatbelt by Cpl. M.S. Wetzel. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $25.
- Bryant Scott Womack of Red House was cited for Speeding by Cpl. M.S. Wetzel. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- Travis Scott Harper of Parsons was cited for Speeding by Sr. Trp. J.J. Schmidle. He pled guilty and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- Douglas C. Harvey, Jr. of Gettysburg, Pa. was cited for Speeding by Dep. C.R. Donelson. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- Richard Alan Brandau of Terra Alta was cited for Improper registration by Sgt. J.L. Clay. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.20 and court cost of $165.80. He was also cited for No MVI, pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.20 and $165.80.
- Richard Alan Brandau of Terra Alta was cited for Driving revoked by Sgt. J.L. Clay. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $100 and court cost of $165.80. He was also cited for No insurance, pled no contest and was assessed fines of $200 and court cost of $165.80.
The following cases were heard in the Tucker County Circuit Court:
- Renee Fansler: Was to appear before Judge Lynn A. Nelson on Jan. 16, but was unaware of the date. A continuation is scheduled for Feb. 11 at 1 p.m.
- Kenneth Fansler: Was to appear before Judge Lynn A. Nelson on Jan. 16, but was unaware of the date. A continuation is scheduled for Feb. 11 at 1 p.m.
- Heather Craun: of Thomas was before Judge Lynn A. Nelson on Jan. 16 for Failure to cause child to attend school. She is now required to have her child at school on time unless a valid doctor’s excuse exists.
- Nicole Hall: Was to be before Judge Lynn A. Nelson on Jan. 16. Defendant was not present and charges will be filed in Magistrate Court to ensure service and arraignment of the defendant.
- Jessica Poe: On Jan. 16, Poe was before Judge Lynn A. Nelson and desired to enter a plea of guilty to two counts of the felony offense of “Child Neglect Creating Risk of Injury”. She received a Suspended sentence to spend one to five years on each count to be served concurrently. It is so ordered that she is placed on probation for five years and spend 12 months fully participating in the Tucker County Community Corrections Program. She also must pay all costs and fees.
