The following citations have been recorded in the Tucker County Magistrate office:
- Gary D. Lester, Parsons, was cited for speeding (93-65) by Sgt. C.D. Siler. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- Dustin T. Grafton, Hambleton, was cited for expired MVI and no insurance by Cpl. D.W. Burge. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25. The second charge was dismissed with proof shown.
- Jason P. Riley, Ridgeley, was cited for expired MVI by Cpl. D.W. Burge. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- William M. Funkhouser, Jr. Baker, was cited for no bear damage by John Ozalas. He was assessed fines of $20 and court cost of $165.25.
The following criminal complaints have been filed in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:
- Veronica Ann Collins, Parsons, was charged with harassing phone calls. According to the complaint on Friday, May 5, at approximately 12:03 a.m., Cpl. J. E. KOpec, of the West Virginia State Police, received a walk in complaint from the victim, Taryn Brooke Dibartolomeo, in reference to the defendant, allegedly harassing her over the phone through text messages after being told to stop communication multiple times. Kopec obtained a written statement summarizing that Collins allegedly had been continuously harassing her by text to her cell phone. The victim stated she informed the defendant to stop texting her on May 4 at 6 p.m. The victim stated she again continued to text the defendant to stop contacting her but she would not stop. Kopec photographed and printed out the text messages. Collins posted a $500 PR bond and a court hearing is scheduled for Aug. 8 at 10 a.m. before Magistrate William M. Miller.
- John Michael Hess, Hacker Valley, was charge with DUI – .15 or higher BAC. The complaint states that on Sunday, June 8 at approximately 9:44 p.m., TFC J.J. Schmidle, of the West Virginia State Police, and Deputy C.R. Donelson, of the Tucker County Sheriff’s Department, were dispatched to a vehicle crash on US219 near TCHS by Tucker County 911. Once on scene, the officers observed a blue Toyota pickup in the ditch. The officers made contact with the driver, John Michael Hess. While conversing, the officers could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the defendant’s breath. When asked, Hess indicated that he had allegedly been drinking and had allegedly smoked some marijuana. Several containers of beer were observed in the vehicle. Field sobriety tests were conducted and all were failed. Schmidle conducted a PBT test on the defendant with a result of .201% BAC. He was placed in custody for DUI. He was transported to the Parsons Police Department to await a secondary chemical test. After 20 minutes a second test resulted a .190% BAC. He was transported to the West Virginia State Police Parsons Detachment for processing and then on the TVRJ. He posted a $1,000 property/surety bond and a court hearing is scheduled for Aug. 8 at 1 p.m. before Magistrate William M. Miller.
- Kandice Lee Sponaugle, Parsons, was charged with violation of Protective Order. According to the complaint, on Wednesday, May 24, at approximately 5:57 p.m. the suspect did allegedly arrive at the victim, Rick Corcoran’s residence, while a protective order was in place. It states that the respondent’s mother, Miss Sponaugle must submit to drug screens every Monday and Wednesday through Tucker County Community Corrections and William Snyder as well and that in doing so, may have supervised visitation with the juvenile petitioner on Monday and Wednesday at the home of Rick Corcoran from 6-8 p.m. Sponaugle and Snyder allegedly did not have documentation of negative drug screen and still arrived at Corcoran’s residence. Corcoran stated that he verbally told Snyder to leave three times and he did not leave until being told the third time. Mr. and Mrs. Corcoran stated that Snyder allegedly made a threat that he was messing with fire. Kopec called Tucker County Community Corrections Administrator and was advised that neither party had a drug screen completed on Wednesday, May 24. Sponaugle posted a $2,000 PR bond and a court hearing is scheduled for Aug. 31 at 10 a.m. before Magistrate Riley H. Barb.
- William Robert Snyder, Parsons, was charged with Trespassing. According to the complaint, on Wednesday, May 24, at approximately 5:57 p.m. the suspect did allegedly arrive at the victim, Rick Corcoran’s residence, while a protective order was in place. - St George Medical Clinic verses Roger D. Heckler: The case was dismissed Pursuant to Rule 15(a). The defendant could not be found.
- St George Medical Clinic verses Jessica A. Long: The case was dismissed Pursuant to Rule 15(a). The defendant could not be found.
- St George Medical Clinic verses Andrew Derek Tennant: The case was dismissed Pursuant to Rule 15(a). The defendant could not be found.
- St George Medical Clinic verses Ronald McDonald: The case was dismissed Pursuant to Rule 15(a). The defendant could not be found.
- St George Medical Clinic verses Robert Addison Collar: The case was dismissed Pursuant to Rule 15(a). The defendant could not be found.

- State of West Virginia verses Justin W. Sacks, Parsons, received guilty plea for six counts making, issuing, worthless checks. He was assessed fines of $6, cost and fees of $1,141.50 and must make restitution of $415.11. This case was heard on June 9 by Magistrate Riley H. Barb.
