The following citations have been recorded in the Tucker County Magistrate office:
- Yakov Moz, Washington, DC, was cited for speeding (69-65) by TFC J.J. Schmidle. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- Richard W. Loria, Parsons, was cited for no seatbelt by Sgt. C.D. Siler. He pled guilty and was assessed fines of $25.
- Christina M. Davis, Parsons, was cited for no insurance by Cpl. D.W. Burge. The charge was dismissed with proof shown.
- Marilyn W. Garner, Athens, was cited for driving suspended and following too close by Deputy C.R. Donelson. She pled no contest to both charges and was assessed fines of $104.75 and court cost of $330.50.
- Brittany H. Taylor, Hambleton, was cited for cell phone use and no seatbelt by Sgt. C.D. Siler. She pled guilty to both charges and was assessed dines of $125.
- Danielle E. Stemple, State College, Pa. was cited for speeding (75-65) by Cpl. D.W. Burge. She pled guilty and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- Hillary D. Strawser, Rowlesburg, was cited for speeding (79-65) and no valid proof of insurance. She pled no contest to the first charge and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25. The second charge was dismissed with proof shown.
- Raymond Stefanacci, Irwin, Pa. was cited for speeding (39-25) by Deputy B.T. Zirk. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- Wendell C. Spitzer, Keyser, was cited for no seatbelt by Cpl. D.W. Burge. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $25.
- Sara E. Davis, Parsons, was cited for driving suspended and expired registration by Cpl. D.W. Burge. Both charges were dismissed.
- Daniel N. Gilgenast, Kerens, was cited for underage consumption of alcohol by Cpl. D.W. Burge. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- Matthew J. Bush, Parsons, was cited for suspended driver’s license by Sgt. C.D. Siler. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $100 and court cost of $165.25.
The following criminal complaints have been filed in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:
- Zolon Louis Stone, Parsons, was charged with truancy. He failed to regularly attend Tucker County High School for an accumulated 21 full unexcused days. A $500 PR bond was posted and a court hearing is scheduled for March 15 at 11:30 a.m. before Magistrate Riley H. Barb.
- Michael Glade Bennett, Hambleton, was charged with domestic battery and interfering with emergency communications. According to the criminal complaint, on Saturday, March 4 at approximately 9:55 a.m. Deputy C.A. Teter, of the Tucker County Sheriff’s Office, responded to a domestic altercation at 542 Groundhog Alley in Davis. Upon arrival Teter met with the defendant. He conducted a safety pat down search for weapons. At this point Teter detained the defendant and placed him in the cruiser for safety and investigative purposes. He then located the victim, Jennifer Dearborn. Upon making contact with her Teter allegedly observed scratches and blood on her face. She stated that she had come home from being out with friends last evening. When she arrived home, the defendant allegedly began arguing with her and throwing and smashing things around the house causing damages. She further stated that the defendant threw a box at her, hitting her in the face because he was angry. She allegedly stated that he threw her and held her down on the bed and kicked her in the legs. The victim had bruises on her arms and legs. The victim stated that the defendant had smashed and taken her cell phone. She further stated that he would not allow her to call for help. Several items had been smashed up in the bedroom area, mirror and several body care items, door of the shower was knocked off track and a door of a cabinet and the face of a drawer were torn off. There were a couple of holes knocked in the walls of the house and one of the door trims had been broken. The victim’s cell phone screen was broken. The defendant stated that he had thrown a box at her because he was mad. He stated he knew he should not have done that. A cash bond of $2,500 was not entered.
- Tina Marie Jones, Davis, was charged with domestic violence; domestic battery. The complaint states that on Thursday, March 2 at approximately 4:50 p.m. officers were dispatched to a domestic located at 229 Blackwater Ave. in Davis. Upon arrival, Deputy B.T. Zirk and Deputy C.A. Teter, of the Tucker County Sheriff’s Department, observed a male, later identified as Dennis Wayne Watts, standing outside of the residence in the drive way. Tucker County 911 advised the officers that Watts was wanted on a warrant out of Virginia. TFC J.J. Schmidle, of the Parsons Detachment of the West Virginia State Police, placed Watts under arrest. He was transported by the deputies to the WVSP detachment for processing. While at the detachment Watts provided a hand written and signed statement saying that Tina Marie Jones had allegedly pushed him against the wall, punched him in the ear and stated that it hurt. A cash bond of $500 was not entered and a pre-trial is scheduled for March 14 at 1:30 p.m. before Magistrate Riley H. Barb.
- Tina Marie Jones, Davis, was charged with one felony count of persons prohibited from possessing firearms. According to the complaint on Thursday, March 2 at approximately 4:50 p.m. officers were dispatched to a domestic located at 229 Blackwater Ave. in Davis. Upon arrival, Deputy B.T. Zirk and Deputy C.A. Teter, of the Tucker County Sheriff’s Department, observed a male, later identified as Dennis Wayne Watts, standing outside of the residence in the drive way. Watts told the deputies that Jones had left and walked over to a neighbor’s house. The deputies went to the neighbors home to speak with Jones. Zirk asked her if there were any weapons in her residence and she allegedly stated that there was a shotgun in the residence. Tucker County 911 advised the officers that Watts was wanted on a warrant out of Virginia. TFC J.J. Schmidle, of the Parsons Detachment of the West Virginia State Police, placed Watts under arrest. He was transported by the deputies to the WVSP detachment for processing. Upon further investigation, it was found that Jones is a convicted felon. While at the detachment Watts provided a hand written and signed statement saying that Tina Marie Jones had allegedly pushed him against the wall, punched him in the ear and stated that it hurt. He also allegedly stated that there were two firearms in the residence. Watts said that a shotgun was in a closet in the back room as well as a handgun in a drawer located in Jones’ bedroom. Zirk then obtained a search warrant for the residence. On Saturday, March 4, Zirk, Donelson and Cpl. J.E. Kopec of the WVSP served the search warrant and conducted a search of the residence. Donelson located a firearm in the residence. Jones was placed under arrest and transported to the Parsons Detachment of the WVSP for processing then to the Tygart Valley Regional Jail. She pled not guilty on March 6 and a cash bond of $5,000 was not entered. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 14 at 1:30 p.m. before Magistrate Riley H. Barb.

State of West Virginia verses Jeremy D. Cussins: He received judgment of guilty verdict for one count speed limitations and driving suspended. He was assessed fines of $104.75 and court cost of $330.50. This case was heard by Magistrate Riley H. Barb.

State of West Virginia verses Jeffrey A. Barb: He received judgment of dismissed with Prejudice for one count domestic assault and one count of entry of building other than a dwelling. He also received judgment of no contest plea agreement for one count trespassing after notice which occurred on May 11, 2016. He was assessed fines of $100 and court cost of $165.25. These cases were heard on Feb. 27 and March 1 by Judge Lynn A Nelson.
