The following citations have been recorded in the Tucker County Magistrate office:
- Karen R. Murphy, Durbin, was cited for speeding (34-25) by Dep. C.R. Donelson. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- Gary Lee Lewis, Clarksville, IN, was cited for failure to obey traffic device by Sgt. C.D. Siler. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- William R. Surber, Jr., Moore, OK, was cited for speeding (59-45) by Sgt. C.D. Siler. He pled guilty and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- Hailee N. Haddix, Parsons, was cited for failure to yield entering thru highway by Dep. C.A. Teter. She pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- Jordan M. Huffman, Seneca Rocks, was cited for expired registration by Dep. C.R. Donelson. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25. A second charge of no proof of insurance was dismissed with proof shown.
- Tiffany N. Henline, Parsons, was cited for no seatbelt and driving suspended (misc) by TFC J.J. Schmidle. She pled no contest and was assessed fines of $125 and court cost of $165.25.
- Tiffany N. Henline, Parsons, was cited for no proof of insurance by TFC J.J. Schmidle. Charge was dismissed with proof shown.
The following criminal complaint has been filed in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:
- Denver James Cussins, Thomas, was charged with simple larceny of goods or chattels of value of less than $1,000. According to the criminal complaint, between the dates of Dec. 1, 2014 and Dec. 27, 2014, the defendant was an employee at the Blackwater Falls State Park where he worked in the maintenance department. Between these dates, 93 gallons of gasoline valued at $251.10 allegedly came up missing at the park. The person who stole this gasoline would have needed a key to the maintenance building to turn on the pumps. Upon learning that the gasoline was missing, an employee set up game cameras at the pumps and allegedly obtained pictures of the defendant and his vehicle after park hours. The defendant was allegedly caught on camera at least twice pumping gas into his personal vehicle. On Dec. 27 the defendant was interviewed by supervisors at the park where he allegedly confessed to stealing a couple gallons of gas but denied taking the entire 93 gallons. On Dec. 30 the defendant met with Sgt. C.D. Siler at the Parsons Detachment of the West Virginia State Police. Sgt. Siler went over the Interview and Miranda Rights Form, which the defendant read, initialed and signed the form. Once this was completed the defendant allegedly confessed to stealing about 11 gallons of gas but denied taking 93 gallons.
The following cases have been assigned in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:
- Michael Thompson, Summersville, was charged with unlawful method of hunting; loaded crossbow in vehicle and conspiracy to violate chapter (DNR) withholding information, obstructing officers on Nov. 7, 2014. He pled not guilty to both charges on March 9 and a court hearing is scheduled for April 10 at 10:30 a.m. before Magistrate William M. Miller.
- Denver James Cussins, Thomas, was charged with simple larceny of goods or chattels of value of less than $1,000. He posted a PR bond of $500 and a court hearing is scheduled for April 28 at 10:30 a.m. before Magistrate Riley H. Barb.
