The following citations have been recorded in the Tucker County Magistrate office:
- Brian E. VanMeter, Moorefield, was cited for speeding 959-45) by Deputy C.R. Donelson. He pled guilty and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- David A. Propst, Warrenton, was cited for speeding (79-65) by Sgt. C.D. Siler. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- Bonnie S. Putlouis, Davis, was cited for failure to use due cause by TFC J.J. Schmidle. She pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- Anthony Gentile, Uniontown, Pa. was cited for speeding (42-25) by Deputy B.T. Zirk. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- Jeffrey L. Nestor, Saint Leonard, Md. was cited for speeding (79-65) by Sgt. C.D. Siler. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $475 and court cost of $165.25.
- Michael S. Bates, Montrose, was cited for possession of a controlled substance by Sgt. C.D. Siler. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $50 and court cost of $165.25.
- Amber D. McGee, Dry Fork, was cited for expired MVI by Cpl. J.E. Kopec. The charge was dismissed with proof shown.
- Trenton R. Dibartolomo, Parsons, was cited for no seatbelt by Sgt. C.D. Siler. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $25.
- Debra S. McCrum, Parsons, was cited for driving suspended and expired MVI by Deputy B.T. Zirk. Both charges were dismissed.
- Angela D. Yuchek, Parsons, was cited for failure to report crash by TFC J.J. Schmidle. She pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- Christopher J. Pool, Haymarket, Va. was cited for failure to use due cause by TFC J.J. Schmidle. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- Angela D. Yuchek, Parsons was cited for no proof of insurance by Cpl. J.E. Kopec. The charge was dismissed with proof shown.
- Sara E. Davis, Parsons, was cited for no proof of insurance by Cpl. D.W. Burge. She pled no contest and was assessed fines of $200 and court cost of $165.25.
The following criminal complaints have been filed in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:
- Daniel Stephen Canterbury, Parkersburg, was charged with one felony count of delivery of controlled substance to correctional facility. The complaint states that on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016, the defendant mailed a letter to an inmate at the Kenneth “Honey” Rubenstein Center. The letter was allegedly observed by correctional staff to have a discolored stain on the paper and the letter advised that it was residue spilled onto the paper. Major Siler of the correctional staff tested the substance located on the letter with a drug test kit and found the substance to allegedly be Amphetamines.
- Gerald David Cosner, Davis, has been charged with one felony count of failure to register as sex offender third offense. According to the complaint, the defendant is a lifetime sex offender registrant in Tucker County. He is required to do an annual registration in the month of his birth which is January. He is sent a verification letter every January informing him that he needs to complete his annual registration. This letter is sent by certified mail and it was signed at his residence by Luverna Cosner. He has been a registered sex offender since July a5, 2007 and is well aware of the requirements and his responsibilities. As of Tuesday, Feb. 7 he has failed to come to the State Police Detachment in Tucker County and complete his annual registration. There is no record of him making any attempts to do so. Cosner has two prior convictions of failure to register. He was convicted on Feb. 7, 2008 on two counts of failure to register and was convicted again on Oct. 26, 2012 for failure to register. He is under a $10,000 cash bond and a preliminary hearing March 28 at 2:30 p.m. before Magistrate Riley H. Barb.
- Aimee L. Grabe, Clear Springs Md. was charged with driving without interlink and speeding. She has a court hearing April 25 at 11:30 a.m. before Magistrate Riley H. Barb.
The following cases have been ordered and adjudged in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:
- State of West Virginia verses William M. Buchanan, Parsons, received judgment of dismissed by Mag-State-No Fee for one count contributing to delinquency or neglect of a child which occurred on Jan. 14, 2016. He was assessed fines of $165.25 and a deferred sentence of one year. This case was heard on March 20 by Magistrate Riley H. Barb.
- State of West Virginia verses Stephen T. Johnson, Winchester, Va. received judgment of dismissed-plea agreement for one count knowingly or intentionally possessing a controlled substance without valid prescription which occurred on Feb. 3. Motion by State to dismiss was granted. This case was heard on March 20 by Magistrate Riley H. Barb.
- State of West Virginia verses Jeremy D. McIntyre, Parsons, received judgment of preliminary hearing waived for one count manufacture/deliver/possess with intent to manufacture/deliver (Schedule I or II Narcotics) which occurred on March 10. This case was bound over to Circuit Court on March 17 by Magistrate William M. Miller.
- West Virginia University Hospital verses Jones: The court found in favor of WVU Hospital in the amount of$2,947.56 plus $90 court cost against Debra Ann Jones. This case was heard on March 20 by Magistrate Riley H. Barb.
- State of West Virginia verses Amy M. Jones, Hambleton, received judgment of guilty-plea agreement for one count failure to register or provide notice of registration changes which occurred on Aug.1, 2016. She was assessed court cost of $165.25 and must report to Day Reporting Center for one year. This case was heard on March 17 by Magistrate William M. Miller.
- State of West Virginia verses Zolon L. Stone, Parsons, received judgment of guilty plea for one count truancy. He was assessed fines of $50 and court cost of $165.25. This case was heard on March 15 by Magistrate Riley H. Barb.
- State of West Virginia verses April F. Phillips, received judgment of no contest plea for one count making, issuing worthless checks. She was assessed court cost of $190.25 and restitution of $18.90. This case was heard on March 16 by Magistrate Riley H. Barb.
- State of West Virginia verses Morgan Parsons, Parsons, received judgment of no contest plea for one count making, issuing worthless checks. She was assessed court cost of $190.25 and restitution of $106.93. This case was heard on March 15 by Magistrate William M. Miller.
- State of West Virginia verses Stepthen T. Johnson, Winchester, Va. received judgment of guilty plea for one count DUI which occurred on Feb. 3. He was assessed fines of $200 and court cost of $165.25 with credit for time served of one day. This case was heard on March 20, by Magistrate Riley H. Barb. and Vicki K. White, $9,994.
